Special Events

Here is a brief listing of some of our fun activities that are planned for the 2007– 2008 school year:

Book Fair - October 11, 2007
Buy books for your kids and for gifts at the Scholastic Book Fair, and enjoy an ice cream treat in the Cafeteria.

Brookfield Elementary Players Performance Weekend - January 13, 2008
Join us for another wonderful performance by the Brookfield Elementary Players! We will hold two performances at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend this exciting day for our school.

Family Social - February 8, 2008
Our annual family fun night! Theme to be announced.

High Interest Day - March 14, 2008
This event is always one of the students' favorites! Regular classes are canceled for the day and the students are able to choose five different workshops to attend. There are many workshops to choose from including cooking, crafts, sports, science, and animal presentations. Parents and community members help lead the workshops and all parents are encouraged to help at school on this day.

Spring Fling Carnival - May 16, 2008
A must-attend event for all families! Inflatables on the playground and carnival games in the gym. In the cafeteria you can enjoy a variety of food and beverages. Don't miss this fun event!

Parent Network Meetings
These meetings are held at least once a month, typically in the morning. There are district wide meetings held at the public library, one of the district schools, or even the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center. School sponsored meetings are often held at a parent's home. Childcare is provided. These meetings are a great way to socialize with parents at Brookfield Elementary, as well as other district parents.
