Making sure your child has all the necessary supplies is an important part of the educational process! This page will hopefully make this easy!
Getting Ready for the New School Year
Each spring, the Dixon PTO works with School-Pak, a Milwaukee-based company that provides pre-packaged, competitively priced school supplies. The PTO has been pleased with the quality of the supplies, and our parents are thrilled with the convenience! Prior to the end of the school year, parents will be given an order form in which they can order packages for each child for their specific grade level, with or without scissors. School-Pak also offers backpacks! You can pay for your order with a check or credit card. Then in August, when Dixon hosts its Registration Fair, your child's package will be ready for pickup, complete with preprinted name labels! It's so easy! No more waiting in lines at stores or running from store to store looking for that "yellow notebook." No one is required to use School-Pak.

What Every Student Needs
All children should have a tote bag or backpack to carry books and papers to and from school. All children should bring a large box of tissue (at least 200 count) to share with their room. All children will need tennis shoes for gym. They do not need to be kept at school but should be worn on gym days.
FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL IN ART CLASS: All children will need a long sleeve art smock to cover up clothing for art class activities. This can be an old shirt from mom or dad and is mandatory. Also, each student must bring in two pencils to the Art Room during the first week of school.
Additionally, each student in grades 3 - 5 will need an assignment notebook. The Dixon PTO supplies each student with their first one at the beginning of the year. Additional notebooks will be required and are available for $1.00 at the Dixon Bookstore.
The Dixon Bookstore
The Dixon Bookstore is staffed by PTO members and open before school on Monday and Tuesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. until the bell rings at 8:50 a.m. This is the perfect place for students to purchase school supplies and assignment notebook throughout the school year. Please send cash or a check payable to "Dixon PTO".
