- Fairview South is a specialty school for students who are performing within the Cognitively Disabled range of overall functioning. Specialized programming is offered to students in practical daily living skills, functional academics, communication skills, community-based skills, and vocational skills. Our goal is to develop as much independence as possible with our students in each of these areas, based specifically on their Individual Education Plans. In addition, they may receive services for hearing difficulties, vision impairments, behavioral concerns, medical needs, and sensory issues. Diagnoses may include a variety of syndromes, including Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
At this time, we serve a secondary school population, ages 12 through 21. We differ from traditional secondary schools in both the environment and curriculum we offer. We offer a community based curriculum.
We hope you will be able to find out what you need about our school by clicking on the topics offered through the buttons at the top. Even parents will find information on our calendar, hot lunch menu, etc. If you cannot find the information you need, have further questions, or would like to see our school, please feel free to call us at 262-781-9464. We'd be happy to share the many things that make Fairview South a special school for special students. |
