THANKSGIVING BREAK - NO SCHOOL

November 26-27-28!!!

 

November 18, 2008

After school activities today are:  Intramural Boys Basketball, 7th & 8th grade Jazz Band Rehearsal, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.  There is also after school French and Spanish today, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

ALL CAST rehearsal on Wednesday, November 19, including the Who's!!!  This is a change from the original schedule. Again ALL cast reherasal - including every group.

Sixth & seventh grade Crew students please stop by Mrs. Reedy's (Rm. U14) today during STP!!!  Eighth grade crew should see Mrs. Reedy during class passing.

Don't forget students and staff that tomorrow is Wellness Wednesday.  You may dress appropriately in work out clothing tomorrow!!!

If you didn't already check, the listing of student Yearbook Reps is posted on the Main Office window.  Stop by to see if you are a rep for this year!!!

Don't forget...tomorrow night's the NIGHT!!!  Eat at Murf's, located at 125th & Burleigh, between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. and 20% of proceeds will benefit PPMS!!!

After school activities today are:  Senate Officers meeting in Rm. L14, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (have rides here by 3:30 p.m.; Homework Club, Boys' Intramural Basketball, Boys' & Girls' Intramural Fitness & Weightlifting, Musical Rehearsal - Select Core and 6th grade Jazz Band, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.; Pilgrim Pizzazz Rehearsal, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Today's deadline for the Recycling Poster Contest has been extended to this Thursday, November 20.  If you have questions regarding this contest, please see Ms. Wallace in Rm. L18!!!

Don't forget to eat at Murf's on Wednesday, November 19.  Murf's is located at 125th & Burleigh...dine between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. and 20% of proceeds with benefit PPMS!!!

After school activities today are:  Intramural Table Tennis & Intram Boys' Basketball, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.  If you are a Milwaukee student and you would like to stay for one of these activities and need a bus ride home, see Mrs. Kern in the main office now.

Musical Rehearsal today for All Cast, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Attention all 8th grade band students...remember to take your instrument and music home today from the band room and bring them to the Wilson Center tonight at 6 p.m. sharp for the Pops Concert.

Parent/Teacher Conferences Today – 3:00 to 6:45 p.m.

 

Students and staff:  the Book Fair will be open tomorrow, 7:00 to 7:30 a.m. and again at 11:00 a.m. after testing.  The Book Fair is also open during all conference days & hours.  Hope to see you there!!! 

 

Eighth grade Choir students are reminded to wear their choir t-shirts to school tomorrow!!!

 

A reminder to students that there are no after school activities today due to conferences…that includes NO HOMEWORK CLUB and NO CHORAL or MUSICAL rehearsals!!!  All students should be sure to catch their regular bus home directly after school today!!!

 

Attention Students:  Safe Behavior in the halls is a must.  That means NO RUNNING, NO BOOK DROPPING AND NO OTHER UNSAFE BEHAVIOR.  This policy will be enforced by all staff and will not be tolerated.  BE SMART - BE SAFE!!!

 

Also, students should NOT open the outside doors to anyone who may knock on the door to let them in!!!  All visitors are to enter through the Main Office entrance and sign in.  This is for your SAFETY!!!

THANK YOU VETERAN'S!!!

 

After school activities today are:  Intramural Table Tennis, Intramural Boys' Basketball, Intramural Weightlifting and 7th & 8th grade Jazz Band Rehearsal, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.; Musical Rehearsal for all cast, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.  There is after school Spanish & French classes today, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

 

The Sally Ride Toy Challenge will meet today in the LMC during STP; there is NO meeting tomorrow due to WKCE testing.

 

Murf's fundraiser to benefit PPMS is only 8 days away.  Eat at Murf's in Brookfield (125th & Burleigh) next week Wednesday, November 19, between 4:00 & 9:00 p.m.

 

The Book Fair Video will be shown on Channel 11 directly after the pledge today.

After school activities today are:  Homework Club, Intramural Table Tennis, Boys Intramural Basketball, Musical Rehearsal – Select Core, and 6th grade Jazz Band Practice, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.; Pilgrim Pizzazz Rehearsal, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

 

All 6th Grade Choral Ensemble students for the Veteran's Day performance tomorrow should report to see Miss Schwingle at this time.

 

Murf's fundraiser day to benefit PPMS is Wednesday, November 19.  Eat at Murf's in Brookfield, 12505 W. Burleigh Road, between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. and 20% of sales will go to PPMS.

 

The final list of students who are on the crew for this year's musical is posted outside of Miss Schwingle's choir room and also here in the front office.  Please check the list for your name and if you have turned in your money and paperwork.  If you have questions, please see Miss Schwingle or Mrs. Reedy as soon as possible.

 

Remember students...if the temperature drops below 50 degrees, students are required to have long sleeves in order to go outside.  If the temperature drops below 40 degrees, a heavy jacket is required.

 

Tomorrow, the 6th Graders are hosting a Veterans Day Celebration.  This means that we will have veteran visitors in the cafeteria first thing in the morning.  Please pass through the cafeteria quietly, and if you are eating breakfast in the cafeteria tomorrow morning, be sure to sit in your designated area, be courteous and be sure to clean up your area as soon as you are done.

 

Also, staff…remember that all circular drive parking will be reserved for Veteran parking tomorrow morning.  Please find alternate parking just for the morning tomorrow!!!

 

Mrs. Weyer will address the students:

 

When the warning bell rings at 7:15 a.m., it is the reminder for all students to start heading to class.  Teachers will be directing students to move to your classrooms and all students are to follow their instructions.  Teachers will mark any student tardy, who is not in their seat when the final bell rings at 7:20 a.m.  No students should be running in the hallway.

 

Any student signed up for the Homework Club are required to be in their assigned room, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.  If you want to take part in intramurals between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., you need a signed note from your parent.
