Applause

Applause inc. supports fine arts at Brookfield Central High School. We are a not for profit member organization promoting performances and events by BCHS bands, choirs, orchestras, theater, visual arts, and digital imaging within the school and the greater Elmbrook community. Applause also advocates for fine arts programming at the district level and conducts fund-raising activities to benefit the fine arts departments.

This year, Applause produced the inaugural BCHS fine arts playbill titled Accolades. It has received wonderful reviews and advertising profits have been distributed back to the fine arts groups. Applause is also conducting its first capital campaign to raise $100,000 to complete the Black Box Theater with appropriate light and sound systems as well as stage, storage, and display items.

A monthly on-line newsletter titled Ovation, including a calendar of upcoming performances, is e-mailed to members and posted on the school’s website pages. Interested persons can also become a friend of Applause on Facebook. Volunteer opportunities also exist to be a board member, a committee chair, or a contributing writer to various media outlets.
