Brookfield Central’s school community is widely known for achieving excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. We strive to provide a personalized educational experience for all students, both in and outside of the classroom, with the overall goal of preparing them for post-graduate success.

BCHS offers a well-rounded and comprehensive curriculum designed to meet the needs of students with diverse interests. A leader in the integration of interactive technologies, with SMART Boards in every classroom, tablet laptops to support assessment and instruction, and SMART Response units and Document Cameras to facilitate just-in-time learning and assessment.
In addition to providing a challenging academic curriculum delivered by experienced and talented staff, Brookfield Central alumni often speak of the lifelong friendships they forged, the opportunities they had, and the Lancer spirit that is such an important part of our school and our school community.
Something for Every Student
From outstanding athletic programs–many of which frequently finishing at or near the top of our conference and earning a number of state championships–to an arts program with dramatic productions like Blithe Spirit and All Shook Up playing to enthusiastic houses, and numerous concerts throughout the year, there really is something for every student at Brookfield Central.
Family Engagement is Key
Parents and families are central to Brookfield Central and are one of the reasons for our school’s continued success. Parents are encouraged to participate in the PTO and get involved with various school and district projects, booster clubs, committees, and groups.

The calendar for the 2014-15 school year was approved by the Board of Education at the February 11, 2014 School Board meeting. Please click here to view.
As a result of three days of school closings in January, the District calendar has been adjusted again to meet state requirements. The make-up date for the January 28th closing will be Friday, March 14th.
The School District of Elmbrook is proud to announce that four members of the Class of 2014 have been named to a group of more than 3,000 candidates in the 2014 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. The candidates were selected from nearly 3.4 million students expected to graduate from U.S. high schools in the year 2014.
Each year the school district plans for one weather-related closing in the school calendar. Any additional closings result in a make-up day in order to comply with the state Department of Public Instruction’s requirement of 180 days of instruction each year.
