It was a perfect weekend for the debate team at the Milwaukee Catholic Forensic League Qualifying Tournament hosted at West Bend East High School on Saturday, January 13, 2018. All 4 individual Lincoln-Douglas competitors and both Public Forum teams qualified. This includes Arjun Shreekumar, Bera Dimerbilek, Billy Huang, Namitha Alexander, Rafael Li, Shloka Nambiar, Vivek Srivastava, and Xander Ge who have qualified to compete at the National Catholic Forensics League's Grand National Tournament in Washington, DC May 26-27.
This on the heels of last weekend's success at the NSDA qualifier. Namitha Alexander, Billy Huang, and Ananth Bhat have qualified for the National Speech and Debate Association's national tournament in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to be held the third week of June. In addition, the team was awarded the Debate Sweepstakes Award (best point total for our top 3 entries) for the Southern Wisconsin NSDA District.
