Earlier in the school year, fourth graders created a "Great Wall of Base Ten" to examine the relationship among place values. They also used this wall to see what happens when numbers are multiplied by 10, 100 or 1,000. They recently used the "Wall" again to determine where certain numbers would be placed and then rounded and ordered those numbers.
Topp classroom friends are enjoying their time at the nature center.
Second graders have been hard at work estimating and then measuring objects around the classroom with rulers, yardsticks, and measuring tapes.
The kindergartners wrapped up their Gingerbread unit by visiting the Makerspace. The students were challenged to create a gingerbread man trap. The students enjoyed collaborating with their classmates to build amazing gingerbread traps.
