Lancers win a Fetching Battle against the Greyhounds

7/18 - The Lancers finished up the regular season with a 13-5 victory over Shorewood on Saturday afternoon. Cale Ross notched six strikeouts in four innings of work for the win, while Ricky Leachy, Pete Ostergaard, Brendan Dolan, and Zach Teuscher all had multiple hit games. The Lancers finish with a 35-9 overall mark. BC will now host the WIAA Regional Final game against Pewaukee on Tuesday, with a start time of 5:30pm.
Lancers cant Stay on the Nordic Track, Lose to Vikings

7/17 - The Lancers clawed thier way back into the game on Friday evening after bieng down by a score of 7-2 after four innings. However, after tying the score at seven, New Berlin West waltzed home with the winning run and BC fell by a score of 8-7. Sophomore Danny Barwick was the standout with four hits in the contest, while Collin O'Gorman, and Aaron Cain both had multiple hit evenings.
Oh yes it's Senior Night!

7/16 - The Lancer seniors made sure that the night that they were celebrated was a successful one, as BC knocked off Sheboygan Lutheran 10-7. Senior Billy Maus had a sac fly in the fifth, senior Ricky Leachy was 1-2, with a double, senior Pete Ostergaard pitched two innings and went 3-3 at the plate, driving in two more runs, senior Matt Gordon hit a ringing double in the sixth, senior Steve Rossman went 3-3 with a double and an RBI, and senior Cale Ross was on the basepaths in the fifth. By the way, sophomore Brad Leachy belted a three-run homer to left, and junior Brendan Dolan got the victory on the hill completing five innings of work. Tomorrow, the Lancers travel to New Berlin West for a 5pm game.

Rick, Ross Rap up a big Win for the Lancers

7/14 - With the outright Greater Metro North division title already in hand by virtue of a Menomonee Falls loss earlier in the day, the win was not quite as sweet, but it was big nonetheless. Cale Ross was impressive, striking out eight Falls hitters and yielding only four hits in the complete game victory. Senior Ricky Leachy blasted two doubles and had two RBI's, while sophomore Danny Barwick continued his torrid hitting with three hits(2B), and three RBI's to pace the offense. Tim Peterson also added two hits for the victorious Lancers, who upped the conference record to 16-4. Tomorrow, BC will travel to Hamilton to make up a suspended game at 5pm, and then travel to West Bend to take on the Suns in a 7pm game at the high school.
Blue Monday

7/13 - The Lancers Monday blues continued this evening as a lackluster BC squad could only muster 1 run and six hits in a 6-1 loss to Menomonee Falls. The two teams will square off again tomorrow for the rubber match at the Falls in a 5:30pm contest.
Popes Win an Un-Orthadox Game versus BC

7/11 - The Lancers could not overcome an early 4-0 deficit on Saturday morning and after a couple of missed chances in the sixth and seventh wound up with a 5-3 loss to Milwaukee Pius XI. Brad Leachy was the victim of some bad bounces early, but settled down to go the distance on the hill, striking out five while only walking two. Senior Billy Maus, and Sophomore Collin O'Gorman both had multiple hit mornings for the Lancers.
Lancers Rick-Key to the big Win!

7/10 - The Lancers clinched at least a share of the Greater Metro North division title for the second straight year on Friday evening with a 5-1 win over cross-town rival Brookfield East. Senior Ricky Leachy was in control from the first pitch, scattering six hits and striking out seven in the complete game victory. Sophomore Collin O'Gorman continued his hot streak at the plate, going 2-2 with and RBI and a run scored. Mike Mierow, and Danny Barwick also added two hits apiece for the Lancers offense. The win improves BC's record to 31-5 overall, and 15-3 in the GMC North.

7/9 - Cale Ross had his good stuff working as the senior right-hander struck out nine East hitters in 5 2/3 innings of work as BC took care of Brookfield East by a score of 10-3. The offense was in high gear, pounding out 20 hits and leaving no doubt about the win.
Mierow Steps up to defeat the Hilltoppers

7/7 - Junior Mike Mierow kept Marquette at arms length on Tuesday evening, scattering four hits in 6 1/3 innings on the hill without yeilding an earned run, in the 3-1 GMC victory. Ryan Hinz came on to pitch with the bases loaded and the Lancers clinging that 3-1 lead and proceded to get a strikeout and a come-backer to earn the save. BC struck right away in the bottom of the first on a two-out triple by Ricky Leachy and a RBI single by Pete Ostergaard. The two in the fourth came on a single by Matt Upson and a double by Tim Peterson, followed by a Matt Gordon squeeze bunt and an error. Ricky Leachy and Danny Barwick both had two hits for BC.
Lancer's "D" Performs the Spinners to Record the Outs...

7/6 - The Lancers played some solid defense on a trecherous Aaron field Monday evening to back Ricky Leachy and get a GMC win over Marquette 7-2. Several nice plays were turned in by Matt Gordon and Tim Peterson, as the Lancers turned three double plays, one ending the game. Ryan Hinz led the offensive attack with three hits(2B) and two RBI's, and Matt Gordon added two hits of his own with a double and two RBI's. The Lancers return home for the last game of the series with Marquette, a 5:30pm contest at McCoy Park.

Collin O' Gorman improved his record to 5-0 with the complete game victory on the hill. Ricky Leachy and Matt Upson both went deep in this game as the Lancers bounced back to improve the record to 27-5 heading into Monday's game at Aaron field in Milwaukee against Marquette.
Lancers End Up on the Positive Side versus the Chargers

7/2 - The Lancers barely held off a tough Hamilton squad on Thursday evening at McCoy park, recording the last out with the tying run at the plate in a 8-5 win. Cale Ross tossed the first six innings and struck out eight Hamilton hitters, while scattering six hits. Ricky Leachy came on in the seventh to close the door and pick up the save. Matt Upson was 2-4 with a double and an RBI, and Pete Ostergaard also collected two hits in the contest. The win puts the Lancers at 11-3 in the GMC, and 26-4 overall. BC will now compete in the Oak Creek/South Milwaukee blast tournament tomorrow and play the opening game against Waukesha South at Oak Creeks' Abendschein park with the game scheduled to start at 10:30am.

7/1 - The Lancers jumped out to a 7-2 lead after five innings of play on Wednesday evening only to see the lead evaporate, forcing BC to score a run in the bottom of the eighth to edge West Allis Hale 8-7. Pete Ostergaard got the big hit, a two-out triple in the eighth. Pete then scored on a Matt Upson ground ball that was mishandled to give the Lancers the GMC win. Ryan Hinz, Mike Mierow, and Billy Maus all had three hits for the Lancers at the plate. Brad Leachy battled through 5 1/3 innings on the hill without his best stuff and Hinz came on to get the win in relief, striking out five in 2 2/3 innings of work. The win puts the Lancers at 10-3 in the GMC, and 25-4 overall.

6/30 - Pete Ostergaard could not get enough at-bats on Tuesday evening as the senior was tatering the ball all over McCoy park, with three hits, including a double and a deep home run to left center, Pete tallied five more RBI's, raising his team leading total to 43! After all the damage was done by the Lancer hitters, it added up to 13 runs and 17 hits in a 13-3 six inning victory over Hamilton. Sophomore Danny Barwick had three hits, while Ryan Hinz, Ricky Leachy, and Mike Mierow each had two. Mierow recorded a solid start on the hill going the distance, scattering five hits and getting three strikouts. The win improves the Lancers record to 9-3 in the GMC, and 24-4 overall.

6/29 - The game with Hamilton was suspended after eight innings of play with the score 0-0. The game will be continued at Hamilton on Wednesday, July 15th with a start time of 5pm. Players report to McCoy at 3:30pm tomorrow for our regularly scheduled game vs. Hamilton.
Sweet Lou!!

6/27 - The Lancers mounted a comeback to send superfan Lou out with a win before he heads south. Lou fired a strike for the ceremonial first pitch of the game, however, BC found themselves down a run entering the bottom of the seventh. Senior Matt Upson's clutch full count double to the opposite field spearheaded the late rally, and junior Mike Mierow capped it off with a walk-off base hit to right to give the Lancers a 5-4 win over Germantown on Saturday afternoon.
Lancers Bring out the Heavy Hitters under the Lights

6/26 - Ricky Leachy and Matt Upson found the friendly confines of Mequon's Rennicke field to thier liking on Friday night as both hit rising line drive home runs over the cozy right field fence for the Lancers. Upson was a perfect 3-3 at the plate with 3 RBI's, and Leachy ripped two hits and collected two RBI's to lead the Lancer's to a 9-4 win over Homestead. Starting pitcher Brad Leachy turned in another solid pitching performance going five strong innings to notch another victory, and Ryan Hinz came in to record a couple of scoreless innings of relief. Mike Mierow also had two hits and a double, however the offensive standout award goes to junior Zach Teuscher who drilled his first varsity base hit, a two-out, two RBI rope that was too tough for the shortstop to handle.
Raiders Melt in the Hands of M&M

6/25 - Mike Mierow only allowed one hit over seven innings of work, a bloop single in the first inning, to lead BC in a GMC win over Tosa East 11-2. Once again it was a potent offensive attack, with 16 hits, four of which went for extra bases. Ryan Hinz had another three hit evening, hitting his 16th double, and raising his team leading average to .493. Mierow, Ricky Leachy, Matt Upson, and Brad Leachy all had multiple hit evenings for the Lancers. BC will now travel to Mequon tomorrow night and take on Homestead in a non-con game that will start at 8pm.

6/24 - Cale Ross tossed a two-hit complete game shutout, and Ryan Hinz broke open a tight game in the top of the fourth with a two-out, two RBI double to lead the Lancers to a 12-1 win over the Red Raiders. Everyone joined in on the hit parade as BC tallied 16 base hits in the contest. The win improves the Lancers record to 7-3 in the GMC, and 20-4 overall.

6/23 - Collin O' Gorman pounded the strike zone and persevered through the heat to record a complete game victory on the hill against Plymouth. The sophomore right-hander struck out five and yeilded only two hits in the contest. Ryan Hinz was perfect at the plate (3-3, 2B, 2RBI's), and Mike Mierow added two hits for BC.

6/22 - With two more errors than hits, this was a debacle for the Lancers from the opening pitch. Ryan Hinz did hit another double and the mile plus fun run after the game were the only highlights. BC travels north tomorrow to take on Plymouth at their high school with a game time of 5:30pm

6/20 - Sophomore Ryan Hinz just about single handedly carried the Lancers to a 9-4 win in the championship game of the Blackshirt Wood Bat Classic. Hinz tallied half of the hits for the BC offense, going 3-4 with three doubles and four RBI's! If that wasn't enough, Hinz took the hill in the third inning and looked like the staff ace, striking out nine hitters in five innings of work and getting the win for BC. Matt Gordon added two hits and Steve Rossman had a key two-out two RBI single in the bottom of the first for the Lancers in the 9-4 victory over West Allis Hale.

6/20 - Sophomores Brad Leachy and Danny Barwick made sure the Lancers would advance to the championship game of the Blackshirt Wood Bat Classic on Saturday with stellar performances in the semifinal contest. Brad tossed an impressive complete game shutout, striking out eight while allowing just three hits. Danny was a perfect three for three with a double before flying out in his final at-bat of the game. It added up to a 5-0 win over Waukesha North and a spot in the final at 7pm.

6/18 - Senior Ricky Leachy was nothing short of spectacular in his complete game win on the hill for the Lancers on Thursday evening. Leachy only needed 73 pitches to defeat a very talented Oak Creek squad by a score of 5-1. Once again, Leachy did not surrender a walk and struck out six knight hitters as he masterfully mixed all of his pitches to perfection. Junior Mike Mierow(2B, RBI), and senior Pete Ostergaard(2 2B's, 2 RBI's) both had two hits for the Lancer offensive attack. Ryan Hinz, Tim Peterson, and Danny Barwick all had a hit for BC. With the win, the Lancers improve to 6-2 in the GMC, and 16-3 overall. The Lancers will play in the Waukesha Wood Bat Tourney on Saturday vs. Waukesha North at Frame Park, with the opening pitch scheduled for Noon. With a win, BC will play the Championship game at 6pm, with a loss, the consolation at 3pm.

6/16 - Captain Mike Mierow helped the Lancers get back in the win column both with his arm and his bat on Tuesday evening. Mike was 2-3 with a 2B and an RBI at the plate and garnered the win on the hill, going six strong innings without yielding an earned run. Sophomore Ryan Hinz also scorched the ball, with a 2B, two runs scored and three hits in as many trips to the plate. The defense was sound with sophomore second baseman Danny Barwick starting two double plays in the contest. The win improves the Lancers record to 5-2 in the GMC, and 15-3 overall.

6/15 - The Lancers could not muster enough offense on Monday evening and dropped a GMC game to Franklin by the score of 3-2. Cale Ross pitched well enough to win, striking out eight and surrendering only one earned run. The offensive highlight for the Lancers was a bloop-bad hop triple to right field for Ryan Hinz. BC looks to rebound tomorrow evening when they travel to South Milwaukee for a 5:30pm contest.
O'Gorman Whips it past the Greyhounds

6/13 - Sophomore Collin O'Gorman was very impressive on the hill on Saturday afternoon, throwing 85% first pitch strikes in his complete game victory over Shorewood. O'Gorman fanned 10 Greyhound hitters while only walking three in his shutout performance. Senior Matt Upson led the way offensively with two 2B's and three RBI's. Pete Ostergaard and Danny Barwick also added two hits apiece for the Lancers. BC improved its record to 14-2 with the two victories on Saturday.

6/13 - BC played a solid ballgame on Saturday morning against a quality team in West Bend East, getting strong pitching from sophomore Brad Leachy and timely hitting from several Lancer hitters. Mike Mierow came on to pitch the last two innings and get the save in the 5-3 victory.
Peterson is the Dog Catcher...

6/12 - Junior Tim Peterson was at the top of his game on Friday evening, going 3-3 at the plate with an RBI, and making a diving stab at 2nd base with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the third inning, helping the Lancers to a 7-1 victory over West Allis Central. Senior Ricky Leachy had great command once again, notching 10 strikeouts without a walk in picking up the complete game victory on the hill. Senior Matt Upson was also perfect at the plate with two hits and an RBI, while Ricky had three hits of his own to help the BC offensive attack. The victory gives the Lancers a 4-1 mark in league play, and improves the overall record to 12-2.
