K'NEX

Our African American population needs to feel better connected to our school. This in and of itself can lead to higher achievement. This new club is specifically for this group of people to become better connected, to our school as a whole, to their teachers, and to their peers. Opportunities to educate and illustrate information on their culture will be a priority. For example, this club would be in charge of Black History Month and planning a few activities around that. Finally, students will be able to reach out when needed, express concerns, and celebrate success based on their achievements. 

Our proposed motto:

 "When one connects (K'NEX), one feels valued and wants to do well."
