Attendance Office

Here is a reminder from the attendance office:  It is the sole responsibility of the student to check their attendance regularly in IC.  When you have an unexcused absence, you have one week to clear it before it becomes permanent.  Once again, after one week, unexcused absences cannot be cleared. And remember, one unexcused absence for the semester and you are ineligible for an exam exemption.

After the team wins, they will play at 7:00 on Saturday. Help make it a true home court advantage and pack the gym!  Friday night, 7:00 pm at Brookfield Central.

Is your garage full of bikes that no one rides or don't work? If so, consider donating your used (working or not!) bikes to the Bike Drive at BCHS. Donated bikes will go to a company called Dream Bikes that will teach kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Milwaukee how to fix them, then sell them for a very low price to kids who can't afford new bikes. Collection day is Monday, March 29th at BCHS from 3:15-5:30. See Katie Shannon for details.

The Fine Arts Extravaganza is coming up, and photo club is holding their annual photography contest. Congratulations to the entire Brookfield Central Rock Climbing Team for their amazing performance and first place win against 4 other schools last Friday. A special congratulations to Freshmen Kyler Billings and John Tzortzos, Junior Jake Bourdow and Senior Katie Cimbalnik who each earned first place and won their respective divisions. Awesome job BCRC!!

Boys' Basketball (Through Friday)

The BC Boys Basketball will play Milwaukee Hamilton at 6:00 PM on Friday March 12 at Greenfield High School.  We will be selling tickets ahead of time at school on Thursday and Friday.  Tickets are $4.00 for the Brookfield Central/Hamilton game.  You can purchase a double header ticket for $5.00 if you wish to stay and watch the second game at Greenfield which is Waterford vs. Racine Park.  You can purchase tickets in the BC athletic office both days.  We will also be selling tickets during all 3 lunches on Friday.   When the BC boys win, they will play the winner of the Waterford/Racine Park game on Saturday March 13 at 7:00 pm at Greenfield.   Tickets will go on sale at Greenfield at 6:00 pm on Saturday. 

The girls will play host to Greendale on Saturday, March 13 at 4:00 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door starting at 3:00pm.   After the girls win that game they will play Saturday, March 19 at 8:00 pm at Brookfield Central.  Please go to the athletic department if you have any questions.

Here is a reminder from the attendance office:  When you have an unexcused absence, you have one week to clear it before it becomes permanent.  A great number of students have unexcused absences from last Friday.  You have until tomorrow to clear them and, remember, one unexcused absence for the semester and you are ineligible for an exam exemption. FCA

FCA members, we'll be having our regular Friday morning meeting in room 19 and muffins will be provided.  We'll also be handing out t-shirts, so don't forget to come if you ordered one!

Boys' Basketball

The BC Boys Basketball will play Milwaukee Hamilton at 6:00 PM on Friday March 12 at Greenfield High School.  We will be selling tickets ahead of time at school on Thursday and Friday.  Tickets are $4.00 for the Brookfield Central/Hamilton game.  You can purchase a double header ticket for $5.00 if you wish to stay and watch the second game at Greenfield which is Waterford vs. Racine Park.  You can purchase tickets in the BC athletic office both days.  We will also be selling tickets during all 3 lunches on Friday.   When the BC boys win they will play the winner of the Waterford/Racine Park game on Saturday March 13 at 7:00 pm at Greenfield.   Tickets will go on sale at Greenfield at 6:00 pm on Saturday. 

The girls will play host to Greendale on Saturday, March 13 at 4:00 pm.  Tickets will be sold at the door starting at 3:00pm.   After the girls win that game they will play Saturday, March 19 at 8:00 pm at Brookfield Central.  Please go to the athletic department if you have any questions.

Junior Prom Fundraiser

FROM THE CAREER CENTER:  The Milwaukee Buck are inviting students to participate in the annual UWM Salute to Student Day on Sunday, March 28^th.    Greatly discounted tickets for the Bucks game that day are available and a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded by UWM at halftime.  Pick up a flyer and ticket order form in the guidance office.

Bike Drive

Is your garage full of bikes that no one rides or don't work? If so, consider donating your used (working or not!) bikes to the Bike Drive at BCHS. Donated bikes will go to a company called Dream Bikes that will teach kids from the Boys and Girls Club of Milwaukee how to fix them, then sell them for a very low price to kids who can't afford new bikes. Collection day is Monday, March 29th at BCHS from 3:15-5:30. See Katie Shannon for details.

Due to conferences, auditions for To Kill a Mockingbird will be held Monday, March 8th and Tuesday, March 9th.  Same time - after school.  Same place - Black Box Theater.  No prep is necessary, but scripts are available in the library for those interested. Girls' Basketball

Congratulations to the varsity girls' basketball team.  The Lancers claimed their 3rd consecutive Greater Metro conference championship last night with a 68-26 thrashing of Wauwatosa East.  It is the first 3-peat in school history.  Congratulations!  The Lancers open regionals on Tuesday at home vs. Milwaukee Pulaski at 7:00 pm.
