Leachy's Arm-our turns back the Knights!

6/18 - Senior Ricky Leachy was nothing short of spectacular in his complete game win on the hill for the Lancers on Thursday evening. Leachy only needed 73 pitches to defeat a very talented Oak Creek squad by a score of 5-1. Once again, Leachy did not surrender a walk and struck out six knight hitters as he masterfully mixed all of his pitches to perfection. Junior Mike Mierow(2B, RBI), and senior Pete Ostergaard(2 2B's, 2 RBI's) both had two hits for the Lancer offensive attack. Ryan Hinz, Tim Peterson, and Danny Barwick all had a hit for BC. With the win, the Lancers improve to 6-2 in the GMC, and 16-3 overall. The Lancers will play in the Waukesha Wood Bat Tourney on Saturday vs. Waukesha North at Frame Park, with the opening pitch scheduled for Noon. With a win, BC will play the Championship game at 6pm, with a loss, the consolation at 3pm.
Mierow is Double Trouble for the Rockets...
6/16 - Captain Mike Mierow helped the Lancers get back in the win column both with his arm and his bat on Tuesday evening. Mike was 2-3 with a 2B and an RBI at the plate and garnered the win on the hill, going six strong innings without yielding an earned run. Sophomore Ryan Hinz also scorched the ball, with a 2B, two runs scored and three hits in as many trips to the plate. The defense was sound with sophomore second baseman Danny Barwick starting two double plays in the contest. The win improves the Lancers record to 5-2 in the GMC, and 15-3 overall.
Sabres Nip the Lancers
6/15 - The Lancers could not muster enough offense on Monday evening and dropped a GMC game to Franklin by the score of 3-2. Cale Ross pitched well enough to win, striking out eight and surrendering only one earned run. The offensive highlight for the Lancers was a bloop-bad hop triple to right field for Ryan Hinz. BC looks to rebound tomorrow evening when they travel to South Milwaukee for a 5:30pm contest.
O'Gorman Whips it past the Greyhounds

6/13 - Sophomore Collin O'Gorman was very impressive on the hill on Saturday afternoon, throwing 85% first pitch strikes in his complete game victory over Shorewood. O'Gorman fanned 10 Greyhound hitters while only walking three in his shutout performance. Senior Matt Upson led the way offensively with two 2B's and three RBI's. Pete Ostergaard and Danny Barwick also added two hits apiece for the Lancers. BC improved its record to 14-2 with the two victories on Saturday.
Lancers Eclipse the Suns
6/13 - BC played a solid ballgame on Saturday morning against a quality team in West Bend East, getting strong pitching from sophomore Brad Leachy and timely hitting from several Lancer hitters. Mike Mierow came on to pitch the last two innings and get the save in the 5-3 victory.
Peterson is the Dog Catcher...

6/12 - Junior Tim Peterson was at the top of his game on Friday evening, going 3-3 at the plate with an RBI, and making a diving stab at 2nd base with the bases loaded and two outs in the top of the third inning, helping the Lancers to a 7-1 victory over West Allis Central. Senior Ricky Leachy had great command once again, notching 10 strikeouts without a walk in picking up the complete game victory on the hill. Senior Matt Upson was also perfect at the plate with two hits and an RBI, while Ricky had three hits of his own to help the BC offensive attack. The victory gives the Lancers a 4-1 mark in league play, and improves the overall record to 12-2.
Dolan...Dolan...Dolan, Keeps the Lancers Rollin'

6/6 - Junior Brendan Dolan stepped to the plate three times in Saturdays afternoon contest, in his third trip he was looking to break the BC record for triples in a game with three, however a double would have to suffice! Dolan and the Lancer offense pounded out 11 hits in the contest, Pete Ostergaard had three, with Ricky Leachy collecting two. Steve Rossman started a string of six two-out runs in the bottom of the second with a key single driving in two. Senior Cale Ross went six strong innings on the mound, striking out nine hitters in the 10-6 win. The Lancers were 2-0 in the first Classic Eight/Greater Metro conference challenge, the Greater Metro won the challenge with a total of 14 wins vs. 9 wins for the Classic Eight.
Brad to the Bone!

6/5 - Sophomore Brad Leachy pounded the strike zone all evening long on the hill, getting the win and striking out five Mukwonago hitters while only walking two. Mike Mierow came on to close the door, getting the last out, a ground ball to third baseman Ricky Leachy to preverve a victory in the innagural Classic Eight vs. Greater Metro Challenge game 7-6. Pete Ostergaard and Tim Peterson both had multiple hit games for the Lancers who will now play Kettle Moriane in a Noon contest tomorrow at McCoy Park.
Ricky Records O's

6/4 - Ricky Leachy took the hill on Thursday evening and had control of the game from the first pitch, the senior struck out six Falls hitters and did not yield a walk or an earned run in a 3-2 win. With the Lancers down 2-1 in the top of the sixth, sophomore Ryan Hinz led off with a double and was driven in with a single up the middle by Mike Mierow. Matt Upson drove in the eventual winning run with a sacrifice fly to center. Pete Ostergaard had two hits in the game, and Matt Gordon had a hit and an RBI for the Lancers. With the win, BC improves to 3-1 in league play and 9-2 overall. The Classic Eight vs. Greater Metro Challenge gets under way tomorrow evening with the Lancers hosting Mukwonago at 5:30pm.
Urban wakes up the Press Box!

6/3 - With the Lancers clinging to their last out with one on in the top of the seventh, junior Alex Urban sent a colossal shot into the football press box in deep left-center to tie the score at seven and give the Lancers new life. BC scratched out a run in the top of the eighth and Senior Matt Upson kept the Panthers off the scoreboard, pitching a solid two plus innings of relief in picking up the win. Collin O'Gorman was the victim of some shaky play in the field and pitched well for the Lancers scattering six hits and striking out three. Sophomores Ryan Hinz and Brad Leachy each registered three hit evenings, while senior Billy Maus had two hits for the Lancers. The win improves the overall record to 8-2 as BC heads to Menomonee Falls for a GMC battle tomorrow evening.

6/2 - On this evening a late rally fell short as the Lancers could not claw their way back from a 6-0 deficit and lost 6-3 to Brookfield East. Although not a single Lancer hitter went down on strikes, more often than not, the baseball found its way right at an east defensive player. Captain's Pete Ostergaard (2-4, 2B, 3B, 2RBI), and Mike Mierow (3-4, 3B, RBI), led the way offensively for BC. The Lancers drop to 2-1 in the GMC and 7-2 overall after the loss. BC now travels to Greendale tomorrow evening for a 5pm non-conference game.
Lancers Climb the Hill, top the Rams..

6/1 - For the third time in the last five games the Lancers found themselves facing a 5-1 deficit, and just like the previous two, BC stormed back to take the lead with a big inning. This time it was a four run fifth that proved to be the difference, with Matt Upson capping off a four RBI evening with a clutch single up the middle, plating the 5th and 6th runs for the Lancers. Sophomore Brad Leachy came on to pitch 2 1/3 innings of stellar relief to get the win on the hill, while Mike Mierow and Matt Gordon teamed up to get the final out, a pickoff at second base. Gordon also had two hits for the Lancers who will now host Brookfield East tomorrow for another GM showdown.
Metrodome
5/30 - The Lancers split a pair of non-conference games in Minneapolis, MN on Saturday, dropping the first game to West Salem by a score of 10-5, before persevering in the second game with a 13-10 win over Pewaukee. Check out the box scores in the game log for all of the details. BC will return to action on Monday with a GMC tilt with Marquette at McCoy park in Brookfield.
Big 6th Inning rush, sacks the Packers

5/29 - For the second day in a row the Lancers spotted the opposing team five runs in the first inning, and for the second day in a row, the Lancers fought back to win with a big inning. This time it was a six-run sixth inning that propelled BC to a 8-5 win over the visiting Packers from Cudahy. Mike Mierow provided the heroics with a clutch two-out, two-run double to left-center that proved to be the winning runs for the Lancers. Junior Brendan Dolan settled down after a rocky start and went six strong innings, scattering six hits and mixing his pitches well in getting the win. Pete Ostergaard continues his torrid start at the plate with three more hits including a 3B and three more RBI's, while Sophomore Collin O'Gorman contributed two hits of his own. The Lancers will now take the trip to the Dome tomorrow for a pair of games on Saturday.

5/28 - Sophomore Ryan Hinz took the first offering of the game and blasted a deep home run over the left-center field wall, however after one inning the Lancers found themselves down 5-1? A 13-run third inning quickly erased the deficit as the BC hitters banged out 13 hits in a 18-6 Greater Metro conference victory over Tosa East. Hinz, Pete Ostergaard, Matt Upson, and Danny Barwick all had multiple hit and RBI games for the Lancers. BC returns home on Friday for a non-conference tilt with Cudahy before traveling to Minneapolis, MN on Saturday for double-dip at the dome.

We will load the bus at 5:15am and leave BCHS at 5:30am. We will be let into the Metrodome at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 30th through Gate D. Gate D will remain open throughout the day. There is plenty of free parking available in the Metrodome Lot off of 11th Avenue. Parents who are interested in riding the bus with the team may do so for a fee of $50 per family. Please email me if you are interested in traveling with the team as seats may be limited.

5/26 - Senior Matt Gordon cleared the bases with a two-out triple in a seven-run first inning that helped the Lancers to a 12-2 win over Thomas More on Tuesday evening. Sopomore Collin O'Gorman worked a complete game on the hill for BC scattering six hits, striking out three, without yeilding a walk. Brad Leachy led the BC hitters with a two hit performance, including a triple and two RBI's. Aaron Cain and Mike Mierow both added doubles for the Lancers. Tomorrow, BC will go on the road for the first time, traveling to Greendale for a 5pm start.
Lancers Roar Past the Tigers

5/23 - The Lancers found themselves down 2-1 after 5 1/2 innings of play in the second game of a double-header on Saturday afternoon, when BC exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the fifth to get the 9-3 win over Milwaukee-Riverside. Mike Mierow notched nine strikeouts in getting the win on the hill while only walking two Tigers. Sophomore's Ryan Hinz and Brad Leachy each had two hits, while Pete Ostergaard finished off his day with two hits of his own to go with two RBI's. Billy Maus recorded his first varsity base hit, a ringing double down the third base line. The Lancers return to action at McCoy Park on Tuesday when they host Thomas More in a 5:30pm contest.

5/23 - Senior Cale Ross threw five strong innings striking out nine, and junior Mike Mierow(4 RBI) homered to deep left in his first at-bat of the season, as the Lancers defeated St. Francis 16-2 in five innings. Seniors Pete Ostergaard(3B), and Matt Gordon(3 RBI) had two hits apiece, while sophomore Danny Barwick collected his first varsity base hit.
