Parent Reminders:

1.  On Tuesday, December 2, the Elmbrook Education Foundation is hosting its annual "Ladies Night" event at the Westmoor Country Club from 7-11pm.  This evening features a rare opportunity to enjoy Westmoor's mouth-watering h'ors d'oeuvres and delectable desserts while getting to know other women from across the District.  Please consider joining the fun by attending the event.  All proceeds benefit the Foundation's Educational Grant Program (approx. $30,000 annually).  Your support of this event truly supports the children across our Elmbrook schools and is greatly appreciated.  Advanced registration prior to 11/15 is strongly recommended to reserve a seat.  Please see the foundation's website at www.elmbrookeducationfoundation.com for more information.

 

 

Today's Newspaper Club meeting has been canceled due to teacher illness.  The first meeting for the club will now be held on Wednesday, December 3^rd after school.

 

Attention students interested in joining the WHMS forensics team.  There will be an informational meeting Thursday, November 20^th after school in the library from 2:35 – 3:15p.  At the meeting you can learn more about forensics categories, competitions and award ceremonies.  All students are welcome to attend & parents are also encouraged to attend if available.  Students should plan for a ride home at 3:15.  If you cannot make the meeting and would like to join forensics please see Mrs. Shryock in room 211 before school or during STP.

 

Student board will be holding their next meeting on Wednesday, November 19^th from 2:35 – 3:30pm in room 242.

 

Attention 7/8^th grade students interested in taking part back stage as part of the crew for Pirates of Penzance, Jr.  There is now a sign up outside the chorus door.  Please be sure to sign-up before December 17^th!  The first meeting is mandatory and will take place on Wednesday, December 17^th from 2:45 – 3:45pm.  Please see Ms. Parrish with questions.

 

Students, if you signed up for homework advantage LAST week, remember that homework advantage will meet today after school until 4pm.  Any student who would like to participate in homework advantage on Monday NEXT week, please remember to sign up in the office by the end of lunch on Friday.

 

If you like books and enjoy discussing them with other students AND you are still sitting in your STP class, then you are in the wrong place.  Today is the first day for Golden Archer Book Club.  Even if you have not previously signed up for the first meeting, you are still invited.  Come to the library immediately after announcements.
