The idea originally began as an A.C.E. project. A.C.E. (Arts in Community Education), a project of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, integrates the arts into the total school curriculum. As our class studied the Native American culture groups in social studies, we also read many legends and "trickster tales." A trickster is a character who tricks others in order to get his own way. These tales are part of the culture of people all over the world. The children then wrote their own original trickster tales. Going one step further, we decided to publish these wonderful stories using technology--Kid Pix and the Internet.
Enjoy!
