WIAA Sectional Semi-Final
Not enough Offense or Defense
7/20 - BC could only manage four hits and one run in the playoff game with Marquette as the Lancers went down 6-1. The defense also faltered in the sixth and seventh innings as five errors were too much to come back from. After five innings of play it looked as though BC was the stronger team, but the Lancers could not get the big hit and seemed to be hitting the dreaded at-em ball to keep Marquette in the game. BC finishes the season with a 27-17 record.
SAMTASTIC!
Sam's Club is Taking Care of Business
7/17 - The Lancers opened up WIAA tournament play with a workmanlike win against a much improved Tosa East ballclub 4-2. Senior captain Sam Voss did not give an inch and pounded the strikezone as usual en route to a complete game victory on the hill. Sammy struck out six East hitters while not yielding a walk, mixing his pitches and taking control of the game. Tom Jenke and Darius Holman each had RBI triples in the contest with the other RBI's coming on a Lee Severson base hit and Joe Rossman's sacrifice fly. Ryan Fletcher, Mike Bogard and Mike Mierow had a hit apiece for the Lancers. The defense was air tight all night with Severson making several nice plays at 2B as BC did not have a miscue. The Lancers will now advance on to the circus of summer baseball as BC will play Marquette in a 2pm game at New Berlin West on Sectional Friday.
7/13 - Waukesha Catholic Memorial 9, BC 5 (8 innings)
Leachy, Bogard deliver in the clutch!

The regular season will conclude on Friday evening as the Lancers will host Catholic Memorial on Senior Night at McCoy Park.

Jenke-Jedi!
Voss-some!
7/6 - Senior Tom Jenke might as well have been a jedi-knight, as the center-fielder sent a first pitch fastball from O'Brien-one-kenobi over the fence in left field to give the Lancers a three run lead in the bottom of the fifth. The runs all came after two were out when Darius Holman battled for a key walk, and leadoff hitter Lee Severson did the same, setting up Jenke's three-run blast. Senior captain Sam Voss stepped up huge for BC on the mound, going the distance for the fourth time this year and getting the shutout! Sammy struck out four while walking two as Voss improved his record to 5-2 in conference games and lowering his ERA to 2.40. Mike Bogard continues to rip the cover off the baseball, garnering three of BC's four hits including his second triple in as many games, while raising his conference average to .435! The Lancers will now step away from conference play for a day and take the annual east coast trip with a 3pm start at Whitefish Bay, followed by a 8pm tilt with Homestead in Mequon.
Bogy and the Beast!
7/5 - Junior captain Mike Bogard did everything but hand out programs and sell popcorn on Thursday night for the Lancers. Bogy pitched six strong innings, scattering seven hits and kept Brookfield East guessing all night as BC took care of the cross town rival 10-4. Mike's performance at the plate might have been more impressive, scorching four hits, including a seed triple to the opposite field gap, as Bogy notched five RBI's! Oh, by the way, Ricky Leachy collected three hits of his own, and Billy Nelson gathered two for the Lancers. Senior Joe Rossman continued to thrive at the plate with 2 RBI's of his own. The Lancers will now host East at McCoy park at 5:30pm tomorrow.
Leachy, Severson lead the way, as Lancers keep pace!
7/3 - RHP Ricky Leachy stepped up big when BC needed him most, as the Sophomore tossed a four hit complete game shutout against Muskego on Tuesday afternoon. Junior Captain Lee Severson made sure of the Lancers offensive production, going 3-4 with two double's and 4 RBI's. Severson had clutch AB's with two out hits in the fifth(2B) and sixth innings as he knocked in two with both trips to the plate. Senior Tom Jenke completed the scoring in the sixth with a clutch two out 2 RBI single of his own. With the win, the Lancers improve to 12-5 in the GM and 23-10 overall.
Slow start, Good Finish, as Lancers Shine Late...
7/2 - The Lancers found themselves in a tight 2-1 game entering the bottom of the fourth inning on Monday evening, only to tally three in the fourth, two in the fifth, and four in the sixth to seal a ten run victory in six innings over Sussex. Senior captain Sam Voss was all business on the hill, mixing his pitches. Voss scattered eight hits while striking out three without yeilding a walk, in getting the complete game victory. The bats woke up as Junior captain Mike Bogard led the charge with three hits including a 2 RBI Triple in the sixth. Ricky Leachy, Eric Gordon, and Joe Rossman(3 RBI's) had two hits apiece. With the win, BC improves to 11-5 in the GM, and 22-10 overall. Tomorrow's game at Muskego will be a Noon start time.

The Lancers finally took the lead for good in the top of the seventh and held on for a hard fought 12-9 victory. Sam Voss gave the Lancers enough on the hill surrendering only 2 ER in 4 2/3 innings of work. Lee Severson once again came on late in the game to preserve the victory and help BC improve the conference mark to 8-4. Solid pitching performances by Mike Bogard, Sam Voss, and Ricky Leachy were squandered as the Lancers failed to put any runs on the board.
