Prerequisite(s): Design
Grade Level(s): 10-12
Students who were successful in Design will enjoy these two major areas:
- Jewelry generally involves casting, soldering, sawing, buffing, gem setting, etc., with a variety of materials. Students may create rings, pendants, containers, necklaces, or bracelets.
- Fibers can include weaving, batik, basketry and surface decoration.
In addition, the study of cultural and contemporary jewelry and fiber design enhance the course and inspire students' designs.
