The Family/Consumer Science Dept. introduces students to lifeskills they will need as teenagers through adulthood.  Learning includes hands-on activities through labs and simulations.  The curriculum is diverse, and may include a combination of the following:

Foods/Nutrition, Sports Nutrition, Food Science, Foreign Foods linked to Social Studies Curriculum, Beginning Culinary Skills, Begining Textiles using Computerized Machines, Begining Child Development, Teamwork, Reading, Math, Technology, Hands-On Problem Solving Skills, Mini Team Presentations, and Careers related to each specific content area.

(Please note that Foods Courses at this time are not available at either High School due to the current facilities.  This is the students first and last opportunity to have this learning experience.)
