Objective
Write a business letter to one (1) fast food restaurant explaining what you have learned about nutrition as it relates to the particular restaurant.
Lesson 1 - Learn About Nutrition
Close: In Word, write a summary of what your learned today. Save the file on your H: drive with the file name of "Nutrition Notes." This document will be used to help you write your business letter.

Close: Open up your "Nutrition Notes" file in Word and add a summary of what you learned today.

Lesson 4 - Building a Meal
- Visit one Fast Food Restaurant's website. Click here for a choice of restaurants
- On this site choose food items and build a meal you might order
- Use the Meal Recording Sheet to record your meal
- Open up Excel and create a spreadsheet of your data. Save the spreadsheet as "Restaurant Data"
Close: Email your LMS with your restaurant choice.
Lesson 5 - Create a graph
- Open up your "Restaurant Data" file in Excel
- Total up each of the nutrient columns using the SUM Formula
- Create a chart
- Add a chart title and X and Y axis labels
- Add a legend (Note: place legend at bottom of graph)
- Place chart as a New Sheet
- Change the chart's background color to white

In class work: Complete a rough draft of a business letter to your restaurant using the data from your Chart and your Nutrition Notes. Click here for a list of restaurant addresses.

- Insert your graph from Excel into your business letter
- Edit document
- Print when done
- Complete the "My Score" section of the Excel Rubric
