HOW CAN YOU HELP?

The Foundation needs community wide support from residents, organizations and area businesses to make a real difference in the education received by students in the Elmbrook School District, both for today and into the future.

There are many ways you can help!

(1) BECOME AN ANNUAL SPONSOR:  Our private and corporate sponsors make a pledge to support the Foundation at the beginning of the school year and are then eligible for Foundation Sponsor benefits.  Please refer to the Annual Sponsor Form for additional information.  We encourage our annual donors to make their pledge by November 15th in order to be fully recognized during our events (and to assist us in our giving plans); however, we are more than happy to work with individual donors after that date.  Donors funding a full $1500 scholarship should also fill out the Sponsored Scholarship Form.

(2) MAKE A GENERAL DONATION:  Donations of any denomination are appreciated at any time during the year.  Simply fill out a Donation Form and send it back to the Foundation.  Please include a note if you would like your donation to be applied to a specific campaign (i.e. SMART Response middle school campaign), honorarium (e.g. in honor of a staff retirement), or memorial fund (e.g. in memory of Irven Hoesly).

(3) SUPPORT THE FUTURE OF THE FOUNDATION WITH A GIFT TO THE FOUNDATION'S ENDOWMENT:  The Foundation's endowment allows you to become part of the Legacy of the EEF.  The endowment provides long term financial support for our Continuing Education Scholarship and Educational Grant programs.  They also provide a permanent way for graduates, staff, programs, coaches, Foundation members, etc. to be recognized.  All gifts will be recognized on the Foundation web site AND in a future display at Elmbrooks Central Administration Office.  The Foundation currently maintains the following funds:

EEF Board Leadership Fund:  Provides a way for past, present and future EEF Board Members to leave a legacy towards the Foundation's endowment goals.  This fund can also be used to honor a member of the EEF Board of Directors and/or a Foundation volunteer.

Elmbrook Staff Lead the Way Fund:  Elmbrook Staff contribute to this fund on an annual basis as part of the Annual Staff Non-Profit Appeal.  In addition, community members can honor a teacher, coach, or program with a gift to this fund (i.e. retirements, etc.)

BCHS and BEHS Alumni Funds:  Graduates or their families (on their behalf) can make a gift to this fund in honor of their class or a favorite teacher/coach/program/administrator.  Gifts can be recognized individually and/or collectively (i.e. in the case of a class reunion gift).

Honorary/Memorial Scholarship Funds:  These funds have been established by the community to honor those that have made a special impact in Elmbrook.  These funds provide a continuing education scholarship on an annual basis and are recognized throughout the school year.

Please refer to the current list of endowment gifts for each of these funds.  If you would like to make a gift to any of these funds, please fill out the EEF Endowment Donation Form and send it to the Foundation along with your donation.

(4) DONATE ITEMS TO FOUNDATION EVENTS:  We hold many events during the year.  Our 2 major events are Ladies' Night held the week after Thanksgiving, and the Winter Social held in February.  Our events provide a wonderful opportunity for community awareness for your business and/or organization.  Raffle/Silent Auction donations to these events are greatly appreciated.

(5) ATTEND FOUNDATION EVENTS:  It's not a party unless we fill the house.  Please register to attend our events so that we can get to know those who support the work we do for our schools.  If you would like to be added to our contact list to receive information about upcoming events, please send us an e-mail.  Please see the Events Page for upcoming event information.

(6) DONATE YOUR TIME:  The Foundation's programs and events are dependent on the time and energy of committed community volunteers.  We need community volunteers to assist with our Educational Grant and Scholarship Programs as well as our events.  Please contact the Foundation if you are interested in being added to our Foundation Volunteer List to receive notification of Foundation needs as they arise.

(7)  CONSIDER THE FOUNDATION IN YOUR TAX AND ESTATE PLANNING.  The Elmbrook Education Foundation is able to receive stock transfers and/or can act as a beneficiary as part of your estate planning.  The EEF's Non-profit Organization Endowment Fund is held at the Waukesha County Community Foundation (WCCF).  Please refer to the Spring 2009 WCCF newsletter announcing the creation of this new fund in March of 2009.  New funds have also been created by our very own Elmbrook staff (the Elmbrook Staff Lead the Way fund) and our EEF Board of Directors (the EEF Board Leadership fund).  Please refer to the Spring 2010 WCCF newsletter for more information.  Please refer to the attached for additional information on the Elmbrook Education Foundation's Planned Giving Opportunities.

All donations are tax-deductible.
