REGISTERED GUESTS, PLEASE REVIEW THE FOLLOWING LIST OF AUCTION AND RAFFLE ITEMS TO HELP PLAN FOR THE EVENT.  Don't forget to gather your items for the GOLD EXCHANGE.

The GOLD EXCHANGE held as part of the Foundation's Ladies Night on 12/1/09 was so successful, it will once again be offered at the Elmbrook Education Foundation Dinner.  Ladies Night guests brought in their broken and unused jewelry and received over $16,000 in cash to help subsidize their Christmas budgets!

Gold is selling at record levels.  This is a rare opportunity to sell your gold and get more than you likely paid for the item when it was new!  We have contracted with an independent gold seller from Florida as they have extremely low overhead and can provide the best possible price for our guests.  Please refer to the experience from one of our board members for more info!

"My name is Megan Susko and I wanted to share my story about my gold jewelry to encourage you to participate in EEF's gold sale at Ladies Night.

I went through my jewelry box and collected all the gold jewelry I no longer wear.  I had some earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. I mailed my items to Paula Wyatt (owner of Got Gold? LLC) for a quote.  Gold was trading at about $1,040 at that time but has increased in value since.  She tested all the items, and separated out the gold-plated jewelry, which they don't buy.  I was left with 5 gold bracelets, 6 earrings and a necklace, which were worth $360.00.  I took the same items to local gold buyers.  The best price I could get was $308.00, which was 15% less.  Plus, the Foundation will receive an additional 15%, or $54.00, as a separate donation from Paula's company.

I want to encourage you all to go through your jewelry, and bring it in a baggie to the event.  Paula and her staff will do the rest, and will make you a cash offer that I am sure you will find appealing.  Feel free to get a prior estimate from any jeweler first.  Remember to rsvp that you want to participate in the gold sale by emailing Sandy Temple of Got Gold? at sandy@gotgoldparties.com.  And don't forget to bring your old class rings – a man's 10-carat ring is worth between $200 and $400, depending on size and configuration!

Please contact me at 784-6281 or email me at tstorm@wi.rr.com if you have any questions on the gold sale.  I will be happy to help you."  Megan Susko.
