Chapter 220

Elmbrook’s Chapter 220 for School Year 2013-14
Based on enrollment projections, for next year the Elmbrook School District will not have any new Chapter 220 seats available.

Chapter 220 Application Period
Chapter 220 is the popular name for the Voluntary Student Transfer Program.  This program is designed to racially integrate schools by giving minority students the opportunity to attend schools in suburban areas that are predominantly non-minority (white).  Non-minority students from the suburbs are given the opportunity to attend racially-diverse schools in MPS.

Elmbrook residents who want their child to attend an MPS school next year should contact Michelle Schmitz at 262-781-3030, extension 1191 for an application.  Parents/guardians must submit an application between February 4 – February 22, 2013.  Parents will receive a response from MPS by April 1, 2013 in regards to whether their child was offered a seat or not.

Notice to all Current Chapter 220 Parents
If you have a child who is currently enrolled through Chapter 220 there is no need to reapply for that child.
