Forbes.com “Best Schools for Your Housing Buck”

Elmbrook was recognized for the second consecutive year on Forbes.com’s “Best Schools for Your Housing Buck” list. Brookfield ranked #4 in the country in the category for home prices $200,000 - $399,000.

Washington Post “High School Challenge”
The Washington Post ranked Brookfield Central High School #2 in Wisconsin and #548 nationally; and Brookfield East High School #7 in the state and #1014 nationally for its “High School Challenge.”

Newsweek “America’s Best High Schools”
Brookfield Central High School ranked #174 on Newsweek’s 2011 “America’s Best High Schools” list and received the highest ranking in the state. In 2010, Brookfield Central and East made the list, ranking at #378 and #850 respectively.

ACT Red Quill Award
Brookfield Central & East High Schools received the 2010 ACT Red Quill Award for ACT achievement and improvement. Of the 419 high schools in Wisconsin, only 11 have received the award; BCHS and BEHS are the only ones to receive it more than once.

ACT Scores Highest in District History
Both Elmbrook high schools achieved their highest ACT scores ever in 2011. Brookfield East’s composite score was 25.3; Brookfield Central’s was 25.0. This created a record high Elmbrook composite score of 25.2!

Brookfield East Scores Among Top in Region on WKCE
Brookfield East scored in the top four of all Waukesha County and academic district benchmarks on the Wisconsin Knowledge & Concepts Exam (WKCE) in reading, language arts, science and social studies.

Presidential Scholar from Brookfield Central
Brookfield Central High School had a U.S. Presidential Scholar for the second year in a row. Haley S. Adams received the Presidential Medallion at the White House and selected Marc Stanke for the Teacher Recognition Award.

National Merit Finalists
Elmbrook had 11 National Merit Finalists in 2011.
