Fairview South is part of the Waukesha County Special Education Cooperative (WCSEC) serving students, ages 10-21, with mild to moderate, and severe to profound cognitive disabilities from Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, Washington, Jefferson, and Ozaukee counties. Additional needs may include communication, behavior, vision, hearing, autism, and physical disabilities.
Every Student is Successful
Fairview South is uniquely designed to meet the needs of each learner with the goal of developing a level of independence, as outlined in his or her Individual Education Plan (IEP). Areas include, but are not limited to, Daily Living, Community Engagement, Vocational, Recreational & Leisure, and Communication.
Students at Fairview South have the opportunity to participate in an array of activities, ranging from dances, Special Olympics, an annual after-school camp, and the popular Winter Craft Fair/Silent Auction.
Family Engagement is Key
Parents and families are central to Fairview South, and are one of the reasons for our school’s continued success. In addition to their child’s development, parents are encouraged to become involved with various school projects, committees, and groups.
