On Thursday, September 21st, cartoonist and children's book author Jeffrey Brown visited Brookfield Elementary to speak with third through fifth grade students. Brown is the creator of the Darth Vader and Son, Star Wars: Jedi Academy, and Lucy and Andy Neanderthal series.

Brown spoke to students about his journey to becoming a published cartoonist, working with LucasFilm, and the importance of perseverance and creativity. He also drew characters by request, highlighted his latest book, Lucy and Andy Neanderthal: The Stone Cold Age, and answered student questions. Following the presentation, Brown signed his books with students.
