All District Elementary Schools participated in the 7th Annual Stuff The Bus food drive campaign this week to collect food donations for the Milwaukee Hunger Task Force. Collectively students donated more than 22,000 items weighing in at 31,000 pounds! This year's total is the highest donation weight to date. Students brought in food items every day of the week and then parent volunteers determined totals for each class. The class who donated the most food items at each school were able to load the donations onto a bus that made a stop at each elementary school in Elmbrook before delivering the items to the Hunger Task Force. The coveted Stuff The Bus traveling trophy was won by Burleigh Elementary this year who had an average total of 11.02 items per student. To date, Elmbrook has donated 111,392 pounds with the Stuff The Bus campaign.
We are incredibly grateful to all Elmbrook families for their generosity! View a video of the day below.
