Elmbrook will again partner with Florida 's Multi-Tier System of Support (FL-MTSS) to assist with the validation of a new tool. FL-MTSS recently developed the System Coaching Survey (SCS). The SCS is a self report survey coaches complete regarding their perception of skills relative to 7 domains of coaching. The domains measured are: Multi-Tiered Instruction/Intervention, Problem Solving Process, Leadership, Data Evaluation, CapacityBuilding Infrastructure, and Communication/Collaboration. These domains have been identified through extensive research and research review.

The survey will be completed by district Teaching and Learning Specialists, Student Services Professionals, and selected Administrators. The survey is estimated to take between 10-20 minutes and results will be collected and summarized by FL-MTSS. FL-MTSS will offer recommendations to Elmbrook for future professional development. FL-MTSS will use the anonymous data to validate the SCS along with schools and districts across the country.

During May, school teams will complete the Self-Assessment of Multi-Tier Systems of Support (SAM). This will be the third year of SAM completion. The SAM asks teams reflect on progress in the areas of: Leadership, Building Capacity/Infrastructure, Communication/Collaboration, Data Based Decision Making, Tiered Instruction/Intervention, Data Evaluation. SAM completion is valuable as teams reflect on progress this year and plan for the future.
