18 8th Grade student athletes went to Brookfield East last night and finished an impressive 3rd place out of 12 schools in the Wisconsin Hills Invitational.

Panther18 8th Grade student athletes went to Brookfield East last night and finished an impressive 3rd place out of 12 schools in the Wisconsin Hills Invitational. JJ Hemmer won gold in the high jump and the mile run; and Blake Pliskie, Nick Fisher, Riley Mueller, Ryan Edwards and Myles Teasley all posted personal records in their respective events. The team finished just 15 points from the first place and performed well n yesterdays hot and windy conditions.

The 8th grade team has only one more practice and two more meets left as they heard into their final days of the season next week.

8th Grade Parent To Dos: 

  1. Order an 8th Grade T-Shirt!          The 8th grade has voted for a beach theme for their 2024 8th grade dance, and the winning t-shirt design has been announced. Click below to order your child’s 8th grade t-shirt. We encourage students to wear these t-shirts to the 8th grade dance. The deadline for ordering is April 17th. Don’t wait to place your order!  T-Shirt Order Form 

  2. Support our 8th Grade Dance!        8th grade farewell dance will be on May 31st from 7:00 pm until 9:30pm. In order to make this wonderful experience happen for our students, we need the support of our 8th grade families. Families can support the PPMS Class of 2024 by donating time, goods and more to help our 8th graders celebrate their accomplishments! You will be receiving several messages from school or PTO about this in the future. We would suggest a minimum donation amount of $25 per student. Donations can be made as a monetary and/or product donation. In future communications closer to the event, we will also be seeking food donations, event volunteers, and borrowed equipment (ie. bags toss). Please help to support the 8th grade dance in any way that you are able. Please click on the links below to donate!  

  1. Yard Signs       New this year, PTO is also offering parents the opportunity to purchase a yard sign for your graduate! The yard sign can be customized with your student’s first, last, or nickname (also could be personalized for “Proud Grandparents” and other family members). A generic “graduate” sign is also available. The cost is $20 per sign and a portion of sales going to support the 2024 PPMS promotion activities. Sign orders are due by April 26th. If you have any questions, please email julie@resourceonesolutions.com. Pick up will be communicated to you once the signs are in. Your 8th Graders will be Brookfield East Freshman before you know it!  Help them feel right at home with their very own Spartan Gear - the perfect 8th Grade Promotion Gift!  Order from the Brookfield East PTO Spiritwear Store by midnight on Sunday, April 21 and your spiritwear will be available for pick up at PPMS on June 6 before or after the promotion ceremony.
