Season of Thanks - Combined Employee Appeal Participation Surges

As we enter the Thanksgiving Holiday, reflecting on things to be thankful for seems appropriate.  We have so many things to be thankful for in Elmbrook – engaged parents, committed staff, a focused student body – but one caught my attention this week!

The School District of Elmbrook does an annual employee appeal for local charities.  This year was amazing.  Kudos to the Elmbrook staff responsible for a successful 2012-13 Combined Employee Appeal that nearly doubled total contributions and more than tripled employee participation.  The 2012-13 campaign represented the best participation rates in the last ten years, featuring 137 employees contributing to their favorite charitable cause(s):  The United Way in Waukesha County, United Performing Arts Fund, The Sharon Lynn Wilson Center and the Elmbrook Education Foundation.  The Elmbrook Education Foundation received nearly half of our employee’s donations. 

Thanks to all those who gave so generously and raised a total of $10,535 for programs and services that directly benefit the students in Elmbrook.
