Welcome to 2012-2013 at Elmbrook!
31 August 2012
Greetings!
It is with incredible excitement and anticipation that we look forward to students returning as we begin our 49th year as a school district. On behalf of the Board of Education and entire staff at Elmbrook Schools, welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!
The mission of the School District of Elmbrook is to educate and inspire every student to think, to learn and to succeed. Elmbrook has a long-standing tradition of excellence as exemplified by the remarkable achievement levels of our schools. In recent days we received word that our high schools have once again accomplished record levels of performance on the ACT, which pushed the district’s composite to a new all-time high of 25.4. This ranks at the top of highly competitive Waukesha County school districts and among the best in Wisconsin. Achievements like this are representative of our entire community’s commitment to education. Congratulations to everyone involved!
Personally, as a new superintendent, I am thrilled to be joining the Elmbrook community. Over the summer we hired many new staff members, updated our strategic plan, and began working to align goals from the boardroom to the classroom. We are continuing our focus on providing opportunities for Elmbrook students and staff to succeed.
Please visit my Superintendent Blog often at www.elmbrookschools.org/superintendent and follow me on twitter @elmbrookSUP. I look forward to two-way communication with the entire community on my superintendent journey at Elmbrook Schools.
Thank you for partnering with us in educating your children. We hope that your school year is a successful one for your entire family and know that we look forward to working with you! It is an honor to be a part of the Elmbrook tradition!
