The Swanson Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization supports the staff and students through a number of activities, programs, and fundraisers. We feel that a partnership with our parents strengthens our school and gives children here the message that education matters! The objectives of the PTO are to bring into close relation the home and school, so that teachers and parents may cooperate intelligently in the physical, mental and moral education of the children enrolled in Swanson Elementary School, and to undertake special projects for the benefit of the school.
All parents are invited and encouraged to become active members of our PTO. Volunteer opportunities include participation/organization of All School Walk Fundraiser, Box Tops and Milk Cap Collections, Butterfly Garden, Copy Cats, Destination Imagination, Family Fun Night, Fall Fundraiser, Field Day, Fifth Grade Recognition, Flower Sale, Gifted and Talented Liaison, Library Volunteer, Market Day, Monthly Staff Appreciation, Outdoor Sign, Parent Network Liaison, Pie Sale, Reading Incentive Program, Room Parents, School Board Liaison, School Directory, Scrip, Spirit wear Sale, Staff Appreciation Dinner, Sunshine, Thursday Folders, and Winter Social.
