ACT ASPIRE

ACT's Aspire® is a College and Career Readiness Assessment System that measures English Language Arts and Math Standards in addition to science assessments, career readiness measures and non-conginitive components. ACT Aspire assesses students readiness in English, math, reading, science, and writing. ACT Aspire is an enhanced program that will expand the reach of its predecessors by now connecting a student's growth from elementary grades through early high school.

With computer-based testing: a new writing assessment; flexible, modular administration: new additional measures (e.g., STEM, text complexity, and work readiness); and online reporting, ACT Aspire will provide insights that neither ACT Explore nor ACT Plan can provide.

  • 9th grade students will take the ACT Aspire Early High School assessment in the Fall and Spring.
  • 10th grade students will take the ACT Aspire Early High School assessment in the Spring.

ACT Plus Writing consists of four multiple-choice tests: English, Mathematics, Reading and Science: and a 30-minute essay test that measures writing skills.
