Meet the Principal

Schroeder, Matt

Hello, I’m Matt Schroeder and I’ve been the Principal of Wisconsin Hills Middle School since 2019. I love building relationships with our families and fostering a sense of belonging with our students. Our expansive academic program is infused with key 21st Century Skills including critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, digital literacy, and citizenship. Through a respectful, responsible, and safe environment, we strive to help each child become what’s next!

I received my Bachelors in Education from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in 1997. I later earned my Masters from Cardinal Stritch University in 2004 and my administrative certification from Marquette University in 2015.

Prior to my role as Principal, I taught for 17 years at both Pilgrim Park and Brookfield East and served as Associate Principal for Brookfield Central for 4 years.

At Wisconsin Hills, we have amazing staff members with a wide range of experiences and areas of expertise, but we are all committed to the same mission: we are dedicated to every learner, every time, all the time. All of our students and families at Hills will feel like they belong, knowing that our staff is committed to providing an engaging experience and welcoming feedback.

I enjoy spending my free time with my family, adventuring outdoors, reading, coaching, and watching my kids play sports.

In addition to our website, we invite you to schedule a tour or contact us for further information about our school today. We’d love to show you around!

Thank you, and Go Wildcats!
