Hi, I’m Brett Gruetzmacher and I’ve been honored to be the Principal of Brookfield Central since 2013! I love being able to witness the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students throughout their time at Central as they come of age. Seeing our professional and caring staff’s willingness to do what it takes to help our students succeed drives me to inspire those around me.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education and a Social Studies emphasis and later earned my Masters of Science in Education from Purdue University.
Prior to Elmbrook, I taught Social Studies for a total of seven years at both Sanders Middle School in Sanders, AZ and Tecumseh Middle School in Lafayette, IN before becoming the Assistant Principal at Tecumseh. I served in this role from 2000-2006 and took on the duties of Principal of Tecumseh Junior High School from 2006 to 2013.
I am proud of the fact that we at BC are big enough to offer a wide array of courses and extracurriculars, and then combine that a tremendous staff and an engaged student body and it’s the reason this school is such an amazing place!
My wife, Angie, and I have three boys, Ryer, Matthew, and Henry that all attend our incredible district.
