Brookfield Central Boys Soccer! 2019 WIAA D2 State Champions!
Congratulations to the Brookfield Central Boys Soccer team on being crowned WIAA State Champions. The team was a #4 Seed and beat Cudahy, Pewaukee Wauwatosa West and Wauwatosa East in the Sectional Bracket. On Friday, November 8th, the Lancers beat the Elkhorn Elks with goals from Marcelo Garay and from John Bochenszak with the winner in the 89th minute!
The State Championship game was an epic match with our cross town rivals Brookfield East. Shane Gosset tied the title game at 1 and after two scoreless overtime periods the game went to a shootout. Goalie Colin Szymborksi made an incredible save in the 8th round and BC Striker George Kotsonis scored the winning PK. It was a special moment for the entire BC Community!
