Brookfield Central students had four sold-out musical performances at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts for their production of Disney's Newsies.
The musical ran from November 16th through the 18th and included a cast of over 40 students, 28 student crew members, a 19-piece orchestra, and countless staff and parent volunteers. "I am so proud of our students and grateful to the staff and community members who helped put on this production," said Director Tommy Lueck. "The costumes were incredible and our main exploration of technology and scenic design were enhanced for this production. The level of excitement for Newsies surpassed the anticipation of audiences and performers in any previous year!"
Throughout rehearsals, students were given hands-on learning experiences from theatre professionals including a Q&A session with Central alum and Broadway performer Tim Hughes, and opportunities with Skylight Music Theatre, the Milwaukee Rep, and various other community theatres.
Congratulations to the cast, crew, and volunteers on the incredible success of the production and performances!
