Brookfield Central students Anvith Aravati and Aashay Mardikar are being recognized as 2019 Composition Project Winners by the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA). Their collaborative instrumental ensemble piece entitled Contrast in A took second place out of numerous compositions from students across Wisconsin.
"It is great to see our students recognized for their excellence in not only performance but the composition," said Dr. Denice Haney, Elmbrook High School Orchestra Teacher. "There are so many great opportunities that our students have to showcase their talents. Congratulations to Anvith and Aashay."
Anvith and Aashay were recognized for their outstanding musical achievement during a special awards program at UW-Whitewater on March 30.
