ACT
- The ACT with writing is a paper and pencil test. The ACT tests include: Reading, Math, English, Science, Writing. The ACT with writing helps students understand what they need to learn next so they can build rigorous high school course plans and identify career areas that align with their interests.
- Wisconsin high schools are certified as ACT state testing sites. Brookfield Central state testing occurs late February/early March each year. Scores from the administration of The ACT with writing can be used by students for a variety of purposes including college admission, scholarships, course placement, and NCAA eligibility.

ACT Prep
Wisconsin Forward
During the 2015-16 school year, Wisconsin rolled out a new assessment called the Wisconsin Forward Exam. The Exam is for Brookfield Central 10th Graders only and is designed to gauge how well students are doing in relation to the Wisconsin Academic Standards. These standards outline what students should know and be able to do in order to be college and career ready. The Forward Exam is administered online in the spring of each school year.
Civics Exam
Wisconsin state law (Wis.Stats. 118.33(1m)(a)1) requires all school districts to give a 100 question civics exam to all students beginning with the Graduating Class of 2017. The questions are very specific: they are the exact 100 questions that the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) utilizes for the US citizenship test. Students must answer 65 questions correctly in order to meet the graduation requirement. The Civics exam is a 100 question, multiple choice assessment (as administered in Elmbrook), that are the exact 100 questions from the US Naturalization Test.
ACT ASPIRE
- ACT Aspire Tests for 9th and 10th graders. This assessment assesses student readiness in English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing. The test will incorporate multiple question types including constructed response, selected response, and technology-enhanced items. It is designed to be delivered via computer. The test will provide a predicted ACT score range for each subject area and a composite score. This will allow 9th and 10th graders to determine if they are on target for college readiness as they prepare to take the ACT test.
- ACT Aspire Early High School scores predicts how a student will perform on both The ACT and ACT WorkKeys when they reach 11th grade. Students who need academic interventions or challenges can be identified earlier in their high school careers.

- The only items students can bring into the testing area are calculators and a pen or pencil for scratch work; NO CELL PHONES.
AP Testing
- Please review this year's AP calendar as soon as possible for any potential conflicts with personal or family events. We are unable to allow make-up exams for absences due to family vacations or sports practices/games. PLEASE NOTE: Students are required to arrive at the testing location no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled exam start time. We are not allowed to admit latecomers to the testing room.
