The Yearbooks are here! Distribution Day is set for Tuesday, May 28th, during lunches in the back entrance hallway. We will continue to distribute yearbooks after school for those students who can't make it during lunch.
We have a limited number of extra yearbooks to sell for $75.
Seniors! (and seniors only) You have the chance to get your books early this Friday (May 24) after school at 3:15 in room 141. We will be selling our extra books to seniors first, so if you need to buy one this is your chance!
CLASS of 2019's PROJECT GRADUATION planning is underway! It is the Class of 2019's final gathering of a luncheon and prize giveaway, immediately after graduation practice on June 7, 2019 - for the soon-to-be graduates. We NEED your HELP (see SignUp)to make this event a success for our students! We are looking for donations of ANY kind! **Cash ** Gift cards in any amount ** Prize items such as Summerfest tickets, electronics, Movie tickets, and Headphones and Gaming systems** Big or small, we'll take it all! The more donations we receive, the more kids will leave the event with a great prize! Think of your own student's favorite item, store or dining stop for a gift card idea. Every year we ask our Art students to participate in a design challenge to create our student planner covers. This year we are opening it up to any interested student. There are specific criteria that must be included as outlined in the information sheet available in the main office or the Spartan Union. You may work with a partner, but we do need a front and back design submitted. All entries must be submitted either digitally, electronically or hard copy to Ms. Molitor or Ms. Broge by May 31st. Damian Buchman is a two-time survivor of childhood cancer and today is the Founder and CEO of The Ability Center, where he is working to create the first universal playgrounds in the Milwaukee area.
The BEAST Robotics team (a Brookfield Central, Brookfield East co-op) and Wisconsin Hills' GEarheads team advanced to the FIRST World Championships that took place in Detroit from April 24-27. The event hosted more than 43,000 attendees with over 17,000 students from 37 different countries competing with team-built robots to show their skills in innovation.
The School District of Elmbrook is proud to announce that Brookfield East Senior, Namitha Alexander, has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar for the state of Wisconsin!
Steve “Señor” Sexton, Forensics and Debate Coach at Brookfield East High School, passed away on Tuesday, May 7. Steve had a tremendous influence and impact on many of the students at BEHS. He coached at East since 2008, and in 2013 was inducted into the Wisconsin Forensics Coaches Hall of Fame in recognition for his work in Forensics across the state. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the entire Brookfield East and School District of Elmbrook Communities.
