Badger Boys and Girls

The Badger Boys and Girls State program is a week-long opportunity for junior students to develop leadership skills and raise awareness of how local government is organized and run.   Badger Boys and Girls graduates are prominent today as responsible leaders in public office, business and the professions, industry, and the armed services.   Students attending are grouped into cities and counties forming a "51st State."  The citizens of the "new state" carry out all the main functions of city, county and state government using basic laws and fundamental procedures of the State of Wisconsin as their guide.  Badger Boys is held annually at UW-Eau Claire and Badger Girls at UW-Oshkosh in the middle of June.

Thank you to the American Legions Post 296 and 449 for sponsoring the following students from Brookfield East High School (pictured from left to right) to attend this year’s event: Sahil Gupta, Suraksha Kodgi, Olivia Oliver, Amalia Ward, and Jacob Roller.
