Brookfield East Boys Soccer Takes Second at State

After an intense game-ending 4-2 shootout, the Brookfield East Boys Soccer team finished their season as the Division 1 state runners-up. The Spartans took second to Middleton on Saturday, November 4 after defeating De Pere in the Semifinals in a 4-0 shutout game in Milwaukee.

“This team’s spirit and dedication showed through in full this season,” reflected Head Coach Brody Kraussel. “I’m so proud of all that they’ve accomplished together!” After a spectacular season, senior defender Ryan Berghauer was named the 2023 Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association (WSCA)’s Player of the Year and 1st Team All-State. Siblings Eren Evran (senior, midfielder) and Emre Evran (sophomore, forward) were named 1st Team All-State and All-State players respectively.
