On Sunday, June 24, recent Elmbrook graduates Julian Rhee (Brookfield East) and Sophia Sun (Brookfield Central) accepted their Presidential Scholar awards at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. sponsored by the White House.

In May, Rhee and Sun were named among the 161 high school seniors to receive the award for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields. Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors.
