For students enrolled in Term 3 or 4 (or single-term Term 2 class) AP courses, our deadline to submit exam orders to College Board is approaching. You will need to make your decision about taking the May 2024 AP exam related to your AP class(es) and submit payment no later than March 3rd to avoid late fees.
There are two parts to registering for your AP exam:
Please note that students test at and pay through the school to which their AP teacher is assigned. Students who are taking AP exams for the first time will need to create an account on Total Registration and College Board, and students who have tested before should use their previous account login. Most students receiving this email will pay using the Brookfield East Total Registration portal. The Brookfield Central portal can be found in the information link below.
The cost for each AP exam is $102, with the exception of the AP Seminar or Research exam, which is $152. College Board charges a $40 late registration fee and a $40 cancellation / unused test fee. This means that any exams ordered late will cost $142 ($192 for AP Seminar/Research), and any exams canceled after the relevant order deadline can only be refunded to a maximum of $62 ($112 for AP Seminar/Research).
Teachers will be following up with each student in class to confirm whether you will register for OR opt out of your AP exam. More details about AP testing, the process, and helpful information is here.
