Brookfield Elementary is thrilled to welcome Tom Watson, author of the Stick Dog and Stick Cat series, on September 28! All 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will attend his presentation. He is touring the country to promote the 4th book in the Stick Cat series (Stick Cat: Two Cats and a Baby), which will be released on 9/25. Tom Watson's books encourage reading for fun. Woven into the humorous stories are important topics addressing inclusion, friendship, trust and patience. We are grateful for our outstanding community partner, Boswell Book Company, for providing our students with this opportunity.

Second and Third Graders

Is your child a bit dramatic? Do you have a budding actor or actress on your hands? Looking to increase your child's confidence speaking in public?

If you’re looking for an outlet for your child’s enthusiasm and creativity, we have just the ticket! We are now inviting second and third graders to sign up for our Creative Dramatics class taught by Danielle Levings, a Teaching Artist in the First Stage Children's Theater Education Department. Danielle will present a 6 week class in a story drama format based around our school's emphasis on various positive character attributes embodied in this year's "BE" theme while also exploring recognizable characters from the musical Willy Wonka, Jr., which will be presented by our 4th and 5th graders later this year (March 2-3, 2019 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center).

All registrations must be received by Monday, September 24, 2018. For Registration and further information, follow the link provided below.
