Burleigh Hosts Elmbrook’s First Seasons of STEM Event
Seasons of STEM

Over 450 students participated in Elmbrook’s first-ever Season of STEM event hosted at Burleigh Elementary School on March 9. Students participated in 24 different STEM activities from coding to making bouncy balls to creating circuit flowers.

“I love that we were able to put together an event that encouraged flexibility and curiosity while preparing kids to respond to real life challenges,” said Marlo Dentice-Johnson, Third Grade Teacher at Burleigh. “STEM education goes way beyond everyday subjects and helps support skills the kids will need their entire lives.”

The event was made possible by over 40 volunteers from around the District and community and included several Elmbrook alumni. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Seasons of STEM event a success!
