The first meeting of the Burleigh PTO will be held Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:00 pm. The meeting will be virtual, so stay tuned for further information on how to log in as the date approaches. All meetings start with a school update from Burleigh Principal Christian Pleister and Associate Principal Mekenna Ellis, so it is a great way to get information.

Congratulations to Burleigh 5th Graders (2019-20) moving on to Pilgrim Park Middle School: Maya L.(clarinet), Matthew L. (alto saxophone), Rishabh S. (trumpet), and Dhruv H. (trombone) for being accepted into the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) program! These students worked hard to prepare their virtual audition video and will now get to rehearse weekly with advanced musicians around the Milwaukee area throughout the school year.
Mrs. Gillete is super proud of their hard work and for positively representing the Burleigh Band Program!

Brookfield East graduate Marc Hughes ('79), and Brookfield Central graduate Chrissy Pappas ('13) are the recipients of the District's 2020 Alumni Excellence awards. These awards will be presented as part of the virtual Engaged in Excellence Awards celebration on Monday, May 11, which will be live-streamed at elmbrookschools.org/eie.
Beginning on Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20, all Elmbrook Schools will move to virtual learning and no students will report to school.
On Thursday, March 12 Governor Evers declared a Public Health Emergency for the State of Wisconsin and called upon the people of Wisconsin to work aggressively to slow the spread of COVID-19. We take this responsibility seriously, as we consider the impact of our decisions on students and their learning, our families and staff and their personal and professional responsibilities, and the greater Elmbrook Community. As we learn from others' experiences with COVID-19 both across the country and around the world, we want to answer one question with confidence; 'Are we doing all that we can to keep our students, staff members, and community safe?'

Burleigh Elementary came top in the K-5 division and defended and retained "The Elmbrook Cup", a traveling trophy awarded to the top-performing Elmbrook elementary school
