After months of hard work and countless meetings with mentors for design advice and feedback, our LAUNCH engineering students presented their final Milwaukee County Zoo Train Water Tower design solutions to panelists at MSOE on December 10. Expert panelists consisted of engineers of all types, train historians and Milwaukee County Zoo employees. Our LAUNCH engineering students participated in a community project that was the first of its kind. This project, organized by Learn Deep MKE, brought together industry experts, five area colleges, six regional high schools and our county zoo with a common mission and unprecedented collaboration. Our students did an amazing job and we couldn’t be more proud of the team work, design process and professionalism they brought to this project.
