Jean Boeder (First Grade, Burleigh Elementary)
Jean Boeder continues to exemplify excellence through her commitment to her students. Her small-group instruction has been especially impactful, as she skillfully uses data and daily observations to meet each child’s unique needs. Her classroom remains a place of structure, joy, and belonging—where students feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Jean’s influence extends beyond her classroom as she brings calm leadership, a collaborative spirit, and a deep love of teaching that uplifts her team
Melissa Holland (First Grade, Dixon Elementary)
Melissa Holland is one-of-a-kind. She brings unmatched creativity, warmth, and dedication to her first-grade classroom, making it a space where imagination thrives and every child feels seen and valued. Through engaging lessons and heartfelt connections, she fosters both academic growth and emotional well-being. Whether it’s saving a birthday treat for a sick student or spending evenings creating custom materials, Melissa gives her all every single day and truly makes magic happen
Heidi Hudson-Mairet (Special Education, Tonawanda Elementary)
As the leader of the Special Education department at Tonawanda, Heidi Hudson-Mairet has been a guiding force, earning the title of "Kid Whisperer" from her colleagues for her unparalleled ability to connect with and support students. She leads with grace, patience and world class advocacy for each and every student. Heidi has had a significant impact within the walls of Tonawanda Elementary because of her kind and honest approach to every situation and exemplary way of solving problems
Lindsey Olson (Special Education, Swanson Elementary)
Lindsey Olson has been an invaluable addition to Swanson’s Student Services Team. Her creativity, poise and integrity have made her an indispensable resource to her team and her impact on both her students and colleagues is profound. With her exceptional ability to collaborate, she’s been a cornerstone in shaping the positive culture and climate of the team and its work across Swanson.
Kristen Wolf (Art, Brookfield Elementary)
Kristen Wolf is an outstanding art teacher whose dedication and hard work is felt throughout every corner of the building. She shares her time and talents every way that she can, including Math Literacy Art Night and Bob Cat’s Keep the Beat events. Her amazing art projects are a wonderful introduction to the world of art and inspire students of all ages. Kristen is a strong culture builder and an integral member of the Brookfield Elementary staff!
Excellence in Teaching - Middle School
Melissa Barta (Social Studies, Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Melissa Barta is a standout educator and leader at Wisconsin Hills! As a member of the Ignite Team and a regular Professional Development presenter, she helps drive continuous improvement across the building. In the classroom, Melissa creates purposeful, engaging learning experiences for all students, blending structure with student choice. She leads her PLC, advises NJHS and Homework Advantage, and consistently puts students at the center of everything she does.
Jose Galvan (Social Studies, Pilgrim Park Middle School)
Jose Galvan, a 2024 Herb Kohl Teacher Fellow, continues to shine through his deep commitment to students and innovative teaching. This year, he made a life-changing impact on several students. By listening, encouraging, and helping them feel seen and supported, he has helped to positively shift school experiences for students. Students love being in his class because his Social Studies lessons are fun and meaningful, and because every student feels valued.
Robert Swick (English Language Arts, Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Robert Swick is an outstanding educator at Wisconsin Hills, known for his calm, student-centered approach and strong relationships with students. He leads by example in implementing strategy groups, serving as a model classroom and driving exceptional academic growth. As a literacy leader, Robbie collaborates with peers to enhance instruction building-wide. His high student engagement and reflective teaching make his classroom a place where kids thrive both academically and personally.
Hillary Szukalski (English Language Arts, Pilgrim Park Middle School)
Hillary Szukalski embodies what it means to be a compassionate, student-centered educator in every way. Known for her warm heart and open arms, she creates a space where all students feel safe, respected, and supported. Her classroom is a place where students feel seen and understood - not just as learners, but as people. Students, staff and families alike praise her kindness, humor and unmatched ability to create belonging. Hillary is not just a great teacher - she’s a mentor, motivator, and lifelong difference-maker.
Excellence in Teaching - High School
Mike Greuel (Social Studies, Brookfield East High School)
Mike Greuel exemplifies teaching excellence through his innovative lesson design and dedication to student success. Mike provides meaningful, right-sized feedback and a plethora of resources in support of each student’s needs. Beyond the classroom, Mike is a trusted mentor and leader, fostering strong relationships with students through his work with Student Council and as a Check & Connect mentor, and through his collaborative approach with colleagues.
John Jablonowski (Science, Brookfield Central High School)
This year John Jablonowski has played a crucial role in the District’s AP Bio and Biology curriculum renewal. His time and expertise has been invaluable. John has built a reputation for being an inspirational, enthusiastic and passionate teacher. Students describe him as being an amazing teacher who is supportive, energetic and funny. He is making a significant difference in the lives of students!
Heather Minton (Math, Brookfield Central High School)
This year, Heather Minton developed the curriculum for Linear Algebra, a new course offering in Elmbrook and a third-semester, college-level math course. Few educators are able to teach this course which has been an amazing benefit for our students. Whether teaching beginning Algebra or advanced Linear Algebra, Heather is able to connect with students, break down complex math concepts into understandable parts, and deliver outstanding results. She is patient and kind, and recognized by students as a role model and inspiration.
Claire Zagar (English, Brookfield East High School)
If you are a student in Claire Zagar’s English classes, your chances of success are high! Her talents teaching Note Taking and other AVID strategies, combined with Claire’s commitment to creating authentic leadership and service opportunities is unparalleled. Claire is a Literacy leader who seeks to create common experiences for all English/Language Arts students, and this winter she shared some of her literacy circle engagement strategies in a presentation at the Wisconsin Reading conference.
Excellence in Teaching - New Educator
Lauren Davies (Fifth Grade, Burleigh Elementary)
In only her second year of teaching, Lauren Davies has made a remarkable impact on both her students and her team. With warmth, humor, and a deep sense of care, Ms. Davies has created a classroom where kids feel safe, seen, and supported. Her thoughtful encouragement has helped students find new confidence in math, and her collaborative spirit has made her an invaluable part of the 5th grade team. Whether it’s spicing up science lessons or supporting her colleagues, Lauren is already a standout.
Emma Jankowski (Special Education, Dixon Elementary)
In her first year as a special education teacher, Emma Jankowski has gone above and beyond to support her students and her team. Known for her empathy, intuition, and tireless work ethic, Emma provides individualized, thoughtful support that fosters both academic and emotional growth. She’s earned high praise for her creativity, responsiveness, and for developing connections with students and colleagues.
Ashley Patin (English Language Arts, Pilgrim Park Middle School)
Ashley Patin has made an extraordinary impact in her first year at PPMS. As an ELA and Social Studies teacher, she creates a warm and engaging classroom where students are excited to learn. Her creativity is boundless - from singing and sound effects in class to encouraging students to push themselves and grow with confidence. Beyond her teaching, Ashley co-directed The Sound of Music musical and uplifts the entire school community with her positivity and leadership.
Katie Reimers (Science, Brookfield Central High School)
Katie Reimers has proven to be an outstanding new educator through her dedication, flexibility, and unwavering commitment to student success. She is personable and able to build meaningful relationships with students, creating an inclusive environment in which all students thrive. She often leverages her prior career as a zoologist to create lesson plans and hands-on activities that are engaging and impactful.
Alyssa Schultz (Special Education, Tonawanda Elementary)
In the few short years Alyssa has been with Elmbrook, she has gone above and beyond for her students and has quickly proven herself to be a strong communicator and collaborator. She seeks feedback regularly, and handles her complex caseload with grace and kindness. Alyssa is a beloved educator whose passion for helping each child succeed makes her a true standout in the field of special education.
Excellence in Transportation
Jeff Kelly (Standby Driver)
Jeff is a huge asset to the District and to GoRiteway. He is highly skilled as a trainer and is the terminal’s sole evaluator for all new drivers and those needing retraining and reevaluation. Jeff’s knowledge of the District allows him to cover any route at the last minute, and his colleagues admire and respect him for his supportive nature, willingness to mentor, and contribute positively to ensure team success.
Greg Nowaczynski (Launch)
Greg plays a crucial role in ensuring that LAUNCH students can access a variety of learning opportunities by safely transporting them between buildings each day. This year, Greg has filled in for other drivers and adjusted his personal schedule to meet student transportation needs. Thanks to his commitment and professionalism, students can take full advantage of the opportunities available, knowing they have a dependable driver who prioritizes their safety and success.
Kendra Polk (Standby Driver)
Ms. Polk serves the entire District as a standby, or fill-in, driver during planned and unplanned absences. Her patient, kind and soft-spoken demeanor allows her to adapt well to all routes and all ages of students, especially in intense moments. Ms. Polk is known for being dedicated and reliable, and for her contributions to a positive work culture in the GoRiteway office.
Lakeva Taylor (Wisconsin Hills, Brookfield Central, Burleigh)
Ms. Taylor has a consistently positive impact through her friendly and welcoming demeanor with everyone on the bus. She is described by parents as kind and sweet, always greeting students when they get on and saying goodbye with well wishes when they leave. Beyond her friendly interactions, Ms. Taylor is recognized as a strong trainer of aspiring drivers, demonstrating her sense of humor and enjoyment of her work throughout.
James Witt (Standby Driver)
Mr. Witt, can and does run any route on Elmbrook’s list. While demonstrating flexibility, he may be better known for his humor and engaging personality, endearing traits for students, parents and colleagues. Mr. Witt’s willingness to serve extends to the District’s charter needs, as he supports the after-school and weekend needs of our teams. Mr. Witt’s commitment to serving the Elmbrook Schools is impressive and impactful.
Excellence in Student Services
Michael McCrary (Special Education Visual Impairment, District-wide)
Described as a “human day-brightener”, Michael McCrary has made an incredible impact across multiple schools and teams in just his first in the District. As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, he brings deep expertise, warmth, and creativity to his work. From building a vision room to training staff and designing individualized supports, Michael goes above and beyond to ensure students can access their learning environments. Michael doesn’t just serve students - he truly sees them.
Lynn Koehler (Speech & Language Pathologist, Brookfield Central / Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Lynn’s approach to speech and language services starts with care and compassion in order to build a genuine connection to the students she serves. Lynn’s services extend beyond her structured time spent with students, sharing academic support resources, words of encouragement, and offering a calming environment on a challenging day. Lynn provides strong communication with families, allowing them to engage in their child’s development and to celebrate small and big successes.
Kristin Newhouse (School Counselor, Brookfield East High School)
Kristin Newhouse, brings a unique background in mental health and college admissions that strengthens both academic and student support services. Her higher education experience shapes her work with students, helping them navigate both personal challenges and post-secondary planning. As AP Coordinator, Kristin led a record-breaking year with nearly 800 students taking over 1,500 exams. Her reliability, empathy, and student-centered approach make her an invaluable part of the BEHS community.
Heidi Rowley (Psychologist, Tonawanda Elementary)
Heidi Rowley excels in the area of Student Services as Tonawanda Elementary’s Psychologist and Special Education department chair. Her colleagues describe her as a true expert, going to her for thousands of things! Her sound advice and guidance on everything from working with students with complex needs to navigating sensitive parent communications is invaluable to the Tonawanda community. Her leadership, insight and collaborative spirit contribute to a positive and effective environment for all students.
Excellence in Service & Support
Stacy Damuth (School Accounting Assistant, District Office)
Stacy Damuth has the rare gift of making school finances feel easy, approachable, and (dare we say?) enjoyable. Stacy shows up in person, walks you through the task at hand, and makes sure you actually understand—all with a warm and welcoming spirit. She is the human version of a financial security blanket, ensuring that staff, coaches, and admin feel supported, not stressed. And perhaps her most iconic phrase? "Yes, we can do that!"
Christine Devine (Receptionist, Brookfield Elementary)
Christine Devine is the epitome of reliability, efficiency and joy. Her warm smile and welcoming demeanor make everyone who enters the office feel valued and appreciated. She is both knowledgeable and helpful and consistently goes above and beyond. Her dedication and positive attitude make her an indispensable part of our team. Our school is a better place because of her!
Grace Domrose (Student Supervisor, Brookfield East High School)
Grace Domrose is a Student Supervisor who has a genuine and authentic connection with each BEHS student! She greets kids at the door and helps to foster daily success before classes start. Grace takes a small task and makes it meaningful, all the while prioritizing school safety. She is a great role model for best practices in school and classroom safety and security.
Brooke Flesner (Receptionist, District Office)
Brooke's impact on the District Office transcends her formal duties. This year, she provided support for the highly successful The Anxious Generation community conversation as well as the School Start Time Committee. She also assumed additional board room setup and technology support responsibilities during employee transitions and coordinated service opportunities for Elmbrook Transitions students. Ultimately, Brooke’s comprehensive support and positive influence make her an invaluable asset to the District Office team and the overall District.
Tina Majerus (Paraprofessional / Health Room Assistant, Burleigh Elementary)
Tina is an incredible asset to the Burleigh community - an energetic, positive force in the health room who goes above and beyond in every way for kids. Tina takes initiative, finds solutions, and follows through with confidence and care. Whether she’s monitoring student progress, advocating for those with IEPs and behavioral needs, or showing up outside school hours to cheer students on, Tina brings heart and dedication to everything she does!
Dan Patrick (Athletic Events Advisor, Brookfield Central High School)
Dan Patrick has served the BCHS Community for the better part of four decades - serving as a game manager and organizing equipment and event spaces for many sports teams. Dan never seeks acknowledgement, but through his quiet efforts enriches the experiences of so many players, coaches and parents. This year he expanded his contributions to the school day, and served as a long-term substitute in a student supervisor role.
Cathy Rayburn (Receptionist, Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Cathy Rayburn, longtime receptionist at Wisconsin Hills, is always welcoming, kind, and ready to help. Cathy’s experience allows her to perform a wide range of responsibilities beyond her role—from supporting administration, organizing sub coverage, to assisting with attendance. Cathy’s positive energy, care for students, and dedication to the school community make a lasting impact every day.
Excellence in Teamwork
Brookfield East Algebra 1 PLC Team (Allison Marx, Laura Vraney, Becky Brezen, Kyle Lastovich, Lisa Farley)
This is a talented team of Math teachers, Special Education teachers and a Teaching and Learning Specialist, that has done a fantastic job growing and promoting math achievement and success. This team has leveraged a new data tool to deliver amazing practice based upon current student learning. The majority of Term 1 students monitored, demonstrated over a full year of growth in just a short period of time, launching these students to future math success.
District Occupational Therapist Team (Murphy Lance, Jenn Nagy, Brady Irwin, Erika Sasada, Emma Gooding, Jessica Danko-Meyer)
The District’s Occupational Therapy team prioritizes student success by demonstrating remarkable flexibility in their work assignments and personal schedules to meet the changing needs of our students. Their commitment to innovative practices has led to a more collaborative approach to student services, which has enhanced student outcomes and fostered a culture of shared expertise throughout our schools. Additionally, several members of this team have provided small group and all-staff professional development this year. Above all, the team exemplifies the spirit of teamwork—working tirelessly to support each other and their broader school communities.
Elementary Reading Teaching & Learning Specialists (Angie Slonac, Julie Bauer, Molly Hopp, Sarah Morales, Briana Sokolowski)
This highly dedicated Reading TLS team demonstrates exceptional proficiency in navigating the Act 20 reading requirements. They have independently managed all associated professional development, from acquisition to delivery, and maintain a strong understanding of current instructional best practices. Their hard work and collaborative spirit have been evident over the past two demanding years, during which they have consistently delivered with professionalism and expertise, fostering a positive and supportive team dynamic.
Swanson Psychologist Team (Nicole Kikkert, Sarah Severson - Swanson Elementary)
Nicole Kikkert and Sarah Severson are the backbone and workhorses of Swanson Elementary School. Together they run student groups, support teachers, and connect families with community resources. They enhance the learning experience for students and their mutual respect and shared vision for student success create an atmosphere of cooperation and trust. They are both selfless and humble and work together as a team perfectly. Swanson Elementary School is incredibly lucky to have these two as a part of their team.
Wisconsin Hills Custodial Team (Eric Westfall, Alan Metz, Ryan Toth, Matt Achatz)
The Wisconsin Hills Custodial Team sets the standard for excellence, reliability, and pride in their work. They keep the building spotless, respond to staff needs immediately, and proactively maintain a safe, welcoming environment. From snow removal to after-hours access, they handle it all while building strong relationships with staff and students alike. Their teamwork, positivity, and "always yes" attitude make them an essential part of the WHMS culture.
Excellence in Leadership
Brandon Buchmann (Associate Principal, Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Brandon builds strong relationships with staff and students by demonstrating genuine care through his actions and encouragement. His proactive engagement with students exhibiting challenging behaviors this year has been impactful. For teachers, he is a strong curricular leader who shares his learning and offers constructive feedback. Brandon is highly organized, hard-working, and a skilled problem solver, which allows WHMS to follow through on its 100-day improvement plans and reflects his overall value to the entire school.
Mitzi Cass (Director of Finance, District Office)
In the past year, Mitzi has gracefully assumed a larger leadership role and supported the District’s transition to a new Asst. Supt. for Business Services. Her calm and confident demeanor reflects a balanced approach to the financial challenge at hand, and her ability to operate with a high level of competence gives others confidence in the entire Department's capabilities. Above all, Mitzi’s willingness to serve in any capacity, even as presenter at the annual meeting, makes her invaluable to the District’s financial operations.
Amy Digman (Teaching & Learning Specialist, Dixon / Tonawanda Elementary)
Amy Digman was tasked to expand her scope of influence this year to include both Dixon and Tonawanda, and she has delivered. Amy’s positive, student-centered approach, combined with her expertise in coaching staff and math instruction, allows both students and staff to thrive. Amy is a strong contributor to school culture, and models professional growth and personal self-care for others, broadening her impact to all facets of her colleagues’ work and home lives.
Paige Lightner (Associate Principal, Brookfield East High School)
Paige has made an impact across the entire Brookfield East Community. First and foremost, Paige connects with students, who are just as likely to stop by her office to share a test score celebration as they are a personal concern. Paige has played an active role in the deployment of new science curriculum, facilitates SAIL improvement team meetings, and coordinates all long-term subs. In addition, she has proven to be an instructional leader and major asset in academic and career planning.
Deborah Voss (Teaching & Learning Specialist, Brookfield Central High School)
Deb Voss is an exceptional educator and leader who always has the needs of students and staff in the heart of her work. As a classroom math teacher delivering instruction, or as a teaching and learning specialist guiding staff members, she fosters trust and collaboration. Deb has a compassionate approach that makes a lasting impact on her students. Her problem-solving mindset, kindness, and positivity make her a truly special presence within our school community.

Amy Glisczinski (Special Education Teaching Assistant, Swanson Elementary)
Amy Gliczinski is a wonderful team player who is always willing to be of support whenever (and wherever) she is needed. She is kind, patient and has a brilliant sense of humor that makes students’ faces light up! Her proactive approach ensures that each class lesson runs smoothly, and her resourcefulness helps solve challenges that arise during the day. She is a joy to work with and Swanson is incredibly lucky to have her as a part of our team!
Tiffani Humphrey (Special Education Teaching Assistant, Burleigh Elementary)
Tiffani Humphrey has been an incredible addition to Burleigh this year, bringing warmth, joy, and consistent support to students and staff alike. Tiffani is kindness in action, connecting with students across all grade levels as they work on IEP goals or daily tasks. Her impact is felt daily in the smiles of students and the appreciation of colleagues.
Hannah Knop (Special Education Teaching Assistant, Brookfield Elementary)
Hannah Knop is a caring, reliable, and dedicated assistant who works seamlessly with her team to provide empathy and understanding to all students. Her calm and patient demeanor, along with her positive attitude, helps foster a supportive learning environment. Hannah anticipates the needs of others and works collaboratively with team members, focused on student success.
Marlena Kirk (Special Education Teaching Assistant, Fairview South)
Marlena Kirk, an Elmbrook alum, has made an incredible impact in her first year as a teaching assistant at Fairview South! Known for her caring presence and strong relationships with students and staff, she takes on every challenge with enthusiasm. Marlena consistently goes above and beyond - volunteering for extra duties, driving students, and stepping into 1:1 roles. Her dedication, positivity, and student-first mindset make her an invaluable part of the team.
Alison Rynders (Teaching Assistant, Dixon Elementary)
Alison Rynders is the heart of Dixon - steady, compassionate, and always ready with a smile. As a Special Education Assistant, she brings unmatched patience and warmth to every interaction, building strong, trusting relationships with students regardless of their needs. Alison is a dependable teammate, a quiet hero in tough moments, and someone who lifts others just by being herself.
Amalia Trier (Teaching Assistant, Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Amalia “Mollie” Trier is an exceptional special education assistant known for her ability to support students with complex behavioral and learning needs. With Board Certified Behavior Analyst training and a creative approach, she implements behavior plans, supports virtual and in-person learners, and helps staff problem-solve tough situations. This year Mollie’s impact extends beyond WHMS to Swanson and Fairview South, where she’s a trusted, go-to team member!
Bella Zarenana (Special Education Teaching Assistant, Pilgrim Park Middle School)
Bella is a standout Special Education Teaching Assistant whose impact is felt every single day at PPMS. She brings a deep understanding of her students’ unique needs and strengths, and her ability to read non-verbal cues and respond with instinctive care is nothing short of remarkable. Bella’s quiet leadership and committed support make her an essential part of the team.
Excellence in Coaching or Advising
Salma Abdulkareem (Team Hazmat - Robotics, Brookfield Central/Wisconsin Hills Middle School)
Salma currently serves as one of the coaches of the highly successful, two-time world qualifier Hazmat robotics team. She also mentors several other Lego League teams across the District and facilitates the distribution of the District’s grant funds. Salma guides young people with the caring nature of a parent and the intensity of an Olympic coach, while championing girls in robotics at every turn.
Jordynn Balducci (Brookfield Barracudas Boys Swim Team - Brookfield Central/Brookfield East High School)
Jordynn is the Junior Varsity Coach of the combined Brookfield Boys swim team. Recognized for her ability to manage the talents and interests of a large swim team, Jordynn found creative ways to structure workouts and form meet entries, while ensuring the continued success of the Boys swim program. Her investment in the team and each individual swimmer is remarkable!
Jennifer Black (Team BUILD - FIRST Lego League, Pilgrim Park Middle School / Burleigh Elementary)
Jennifer Black is the coach of the First Lego League (FLL) team Build, who this year finished 3rd at state and qualified for a World Conference event. Jen also serves as a mentor to several other FLL Explore teams, contributing to the growing student interest in Robotics across the District’s elementary schools. Jen is known for her innovative approach to engaging students and parent volunteers, resulting in valuable learning experiences and opportunities for all.
Emily Paprocki (Best Buddies, Brookfield East High School)
Emily Paprocki is a World Language-Spanish teacher as well as a Club Advisor for Best Buddies and She’s the First. She creates really strong relationships with students and helps to develop student leaders. Those leaders then engage with other students. As a result, dynamic partnerships and relationships are developed.
Jon Vogt (Tennis / Mock Trial, Brookfield Central High School)
Jon Vogt’s unyielding passion and dedication to Brookfield Central’s co-curriculars is unparalleled. Coach Vogt’s BC Boys Tennis Team won a state title in June of 2024, and multiple members of the Girls Tennis Team qualified for state. This winter, Mr. Vogt’s Mock Trial team made it to the state semifinals. All of these amazing results reflect Jon’s commitment to developing Brookfield Central’s students outside the classroom.
Excellence in Substitute Teaching
Kristin Huard (Swanson Elementary)
Kristin Huard has consistently gone above and beyond as a substitute teacher, willing to step into any classroom at a moment's notice. Kristin approaches her work with professionalism, adaptability, and an optimistic attitude. Her infectious energy keeps students engaged, while also maintaining a classroom environment that is calm, respectful, and conducive to learning. Her flexibility and positive approach make her a favorite among students and staff alike.
Ingolf Rixmann (Pilgrim Park Middle School)
Ingolf Rixmann has been an incredible asset to Pilgrim Park, stepping into three long-term substitute roles over the past 15 months. No matter the classroom or content area, he shows up ready to support both students and staff with professionalism and positivity. His willingness to jump in wherever needed, combined with his collaborative nature and steady presence, has made a big impact on our school community.
Heenaba Solanki (Brookfield Elementary)
Heenaba Solanki is a reliable, flexible, and caring substitute. Teachers actively seek her out, knowing that their students will receive top-notch instruction and care in her capable hands. Her ability to adapt to any classroom environment, build rapport with students, and provide a seamless learning experience makes her an invaluable part of our school community.
Arin Yttre (Brookfield East High School/Dixon Elementary)
Arin Yttre is an exceptional substitute teacher! She is a former nurse and relies on her professional experience to create meaningful learning experiences as a long-term substitute in Physical Education and Health. Arin’s flexibility has allowed her to also serve as a long-term substitute in the Special Education Department and as a Health room assistant! Thanks to her classroom experiences, Arin is now inspired to become a certified teacher!

Josie Dornbach (Brookfield Central High School Booster Club)
Josie Dornbach is a selfless parent who works tirelessly volunteering her time for the BCHS Booster Club. In charge of the year-round massive concessions program,Josie orders supplies, stocks the concession stands, and organizes volunteers. This year, she instituted a credit card payment process which has brought in more revenue, resulting in tens of thousands of dollars for the BCHS community.
Carey Drees (Dixon Elementary PTO)
Carey is the heart and soul of so many efforts across Dixon - and the District through her work with the EEF. She brings passion and dedication to everything she does, whether she’s volunteering at events after hours or leading Dixon’s PTO with energy and precision, Carey gives her all to support students, staff, and families. She manages countless committees and events with grace, ensuring every detail is handled and every voice is heard. Her love for the community shines through in every interaction, and she drives so much of what makes Dixon Elementary a special place.
Kelly Foley & Julie Fedoryshyn (Burleigh Elementary PTO & Fun Run Leaders)
Kelly Foley and Julie Fedoryshyn have gone above and beyond as PTO and Fun Run leaders at Burleigh Elementary, and their impact has been nothing short of incredible. Together, they helped lead this year’s Fun Run to a record-breaking success, raising over $45,000! Their creativity, flexibility, leadership, and can-do spirit make them an invaluable asset of the Burleigh community.
Shana Meidam (Library, Brookfield East High School)
Shana Meidam volunteers on multiple days each week to backfill in the Library and Learning Commons, an area that has experienced tremendous growth in student participation. This has provided Brookfield East HS administration the confidence that this crucial opportunity for students will always be available.
Connie Petersen (Pilgrim Park Middle School & Brookfield East High School PTOs)
Connie Petersen is the definition of dedication in the Elmbrook community. Whether she’s in the classroom, serving on multiple Elmbrook Foundation committees, behind the scenes of a musical, or leading a volunteer effort, Connie gives 100% of herself - and then some. She has poured countless hours into projects at Dixon, PPMS, and East, leading costume design for the Dixon Nutcracker and The Sound of Music Jr., even long after her own kids moved on.
Anna Witt (Tonawanda Elementary PTO Treasurer)
Anna is the PTO Treasurer and has been instrumental in modernizing the PTO’s processes and increasing family engagement. Anna has a wonderful ability to make sure all details are handled with the utmost care - from managing finances, securing necessary licenses and updating systems to accept PayPal. She’s a doctor by day, but Master Treasurer by night. Her commitment goes far above and beyond and is greatly appreciated.
