Gifted & Talented Parent Advisory Organization

Linda Atkinson, District Liaison

You’ve found the GTPAO webpage.  We are a group of parents committed to supporting other parents and fostering dialogue between parents and staff to ensure that all students receive an appropriate education that meets their needs.

The mission of the Gifted and Talented Parent Advisory Organization is to encourage and advance communication between parents, teachers, and district leaders in such a way that brings teamwork to the educational process and gives the GT students in the district the most effective, comprehensive and challenging education possible.

Our goal is to make the Elmbrook GTPAO a valuable resource for parents, teachers, and district leaders through the use of parent focus groups, evaluation of gifted programming, support from GT organizations, guest speakers, and parent-to-parent involvement.

In the Documents and Resources section, you may discover useful research, programs, advocacy groups and peer groups.

We hope to see you at one of our upcoming virtual meetings scheduled for February 23rd, 12:00pm-1:30pm and May 12th, 9:00am-11:00am.

In the meantime, our building representatives are here to answer questions. We hope you’ll join our Listserv and follow us on Facebook to hear all about GTPAO happenings.

Thank you
