parent network

For over 30 years, the Elmbrook Parent Network has been providing education opportunities for parents and caregivers in our community. The School District of Elmbrook is privileged to have an active and engaged family community. We welcome all parents and caregivers to become involved in Parent Network.

PN is a parent-run volunteer organization financially supported by the Parent Teacher Organizations in the School District of Elmbrook and the Elmbrook Education Foundation.

Our Mission: Elmbrook Parent Network (PN) is a parent-to-parent connection within the School District of Elmbrook which addresses parent concerns on academic & social issues, providing parents with the tools and resources to assist them in guiding their children as they grow and become good decision makers.

Be SMART Secure Gun Storage

This program is designed for everyone, regardless of whether you own a gun. Join us for a firearm safety presentation from Be SMART. The last several years have seen a rise in unintentional shootings by children and gunfire on school grounds. In 2020, gun suicide among children ages 17 and under reached the highest rate in more than 20 years and firearms became the leading cause of death among children in the United States. Storing firearms securely can help prevent these tragedies and keep kids safe.

Whether you own a gun or not, it is essential that you are aware of the best practices around gun safety. This presentation will discuss how to safely secure a gun, how to model responsible behavior around guns, and how to ask about unsecured guns in other homes. Be SMART emphasizes that it’s an adult responsibility to keep kids from accessing guns, and that every adult can play a role in keeping kids and communities safer.

This event is designed for parents of students of all ages to attend without children.
