Become a Guest Teacher

If you have an Associate's Degree or higher, you are eligible to become a guest (substitute) teacher! A simple process to obtain a three-year substitute permit license is all that is required for you to become eligible to sub!

3 Steps to Becoming A Guest Teacher Without a Degree in Education
Step 1:

Participation in a guest (substitute) training course is required. The following organizations offer training programs:

STEP 2:

Upon completion of the course, you may apply for your three year substitute permit license at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. For more information on the license application process, please visit the WI DPI website here.

STEP 3:

Apply to Teachers On Call: We have partnered with Teachers On Call (TOC), a substitute placement service. To learn more about TOC and to apply, please visit their website here and be sure to select Elmbrook Schools as a District you’d like to work at!

Become a Support Staff Substitute

If you have a high school diploma, you are eligible to substitute in several areas. Special Education Assistant substitutes, Kindergarten Assistant substitutes and Student Supervisor substitutes work hard every day providing critical services for our students.
